Hello : )

I am new to making comments in the message boards. Already I have placed a couple of messages for Jill or Kirstine and am awaiting a reply. Some of you answered me there and encouraged me to introduce myself so here I am! Thanks for the support! : )

I have done oxycise in the past but just like any exercise, if you don't do it the habit disappears. Also, I have been under a tremendous amount of stress which ebbs and flows with my fathers health. Sometimes I am so stressed that I feel that I can't breathe, literally. I want to oxycise so badly because I know I will feel better for it but I have no umph to do it. What a vicious cycle this is! Therefore I am trying to make myself do this! I don't want to get any fatter!!! Some days it is really a struggle to force myself to do it, other days I just can't wait to do so. Today is one of those days. I have my tape cued up and ready for me. I just wanted to check for any answers before I started. So, I am off! and I look forward to hearing from you and sharing what little I can. : )

P.S. I have also seriously started doing SparkPeople. It is a really, really good motivation for me. They have many different ways to motivate you to lose weight and stay excited. Including "teams" that give support in the areas you have in common. One of which is the... Oxycise team! YAY! YAY! We are a small team now, but who knows. I think it will grow once the word continues to get out about Oxycise. There are a lot of people on there who have injured themselves and are looking for a way to exercise without hurting themselves further. So, I always encourage them to check out Oxycise. : ) : ) (BTW, if you decide to check out sparkpeople and sign up please tell them I referred you.)

Welcome back IM4Kingdom!

I know exactly what you mean. My partner has cancer and I have been caring for him for two years. He went into remission for a year but now they think possibly the cancer may be back again due to abnormal blood work. We will find out more next week on 8-21. I pray for his sake it is not, but there are days literally when I feel I want to do OXY SO BADLY! but like you say it is just an effort sometime to just try and do regular breathing. So I know exactly what you are saying for sure. I have not done Oxy in months now except for Thursday night this week. I am trying to get back with it b.c I feel so much better when I do it and I am a much better caregiver when I do.

Good luck and keep it up.

Lin

Lin, I'm so sorry that things seem to be falling apart again! I hope it's not so!!! We DO understand why it's hard to get on the wagon, even though you know it's good for you! Here's a hug and warm thoughts to lift your heart.

im4kingdom, welcome to our little corner of the web! I hope you have awesome results, but I understand your struggle, too! I also joined Sparkpeople recently, but then I had a houseful of company and just didn't have time to go there. I like some of the things they offer there though, like the calorie counter. It takes time though!!! Could we have a first name or a nickname to call you, please?

Susanna

So sorry that I didn't reply. I meant to. Frown

Thank you both for the warm welcome!

Lin, I hope it wasn't cancer... I hope things are looking up.

Susanna, I like to use my screen name because of internet prowlers. I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem here but it just makes me feel safer. (I hope you understand, it's not meant to be standoffish.)
Also, are you active on SparkPeople yet? If so, come by the team! My screen name is the same. What is yours and I'll look you up.
