Hello! I was lucky enough (or fated) to find the Oxycise! Level 1 video, book, and commuter workout tape at a consignment store in town. What most attracted me was the commuter workout--I currently drive a half-hour trip to work (one way), and I thought, hey, if I'm upset about my weight, doing the tape would have to be better than just sitting there doing nothing or listening to the cheesy pop stations. I thought even if it didn't work, the breathing would be relaxing and healthy for me.

But then I read the success stories inside the book and came to the website to read more--boy, am I impressed! I only hope this program can do the same for me!

Although the instructional video was not available with what I bought, I started tonight as best I could, until I can order the video.

I'm amazed at the very up-to-date and high-tech website here--it's great! I guess b/c of where I got my tapes, and b/c most of the Smiles of Success are a couple of years old, I wasn't expecting such a great and current offering!

I am almost 31 (next month), 5'3", and 154 pounds when I weighed myself tonight. I have come down from over 160 pounds earlier in the winter just by switching from regular to diet soda. I wear a size 12 bottom and probably a 14-16 top. I have struggled with my weight since I was about 25; I don't know that anything in particular got me heavy (I have no children).

My weight has been up and down over and over. A lot of it has been due to going on and off various medications--birth control, antidepressants. I weighed about 140 this time last year, about the top weight I can be for my height and still not feel "fat." But I had a very traumatic breakup (last Feb.) of a 3-year relationship, and ballooned quickly to over 160, the largest I've ever been. It's been a tough, one-year road back. I am now ready to date again, but--I'm fat!!!

I tend to talk (type) a lot, so thanks for being patient and reading this. It is good to know that there are so many of you out there doing this, too. Keep me motivated! Thanks,

Beth

Glad you found Oxycise! Like you, I gained weight from medication. But, I also wasn't exercising or eating properly. I don't know if that was because of the meds. or what. But anyway, I gained 40 lbs. in a year and then another 20 lbs. the following year. I've been off the meds. since September. I lost 10 lbs. by November. Then I started Oxycise & the Slimfast Diet plan and have lost another 30 lbs. It can be a hard road to travel especially when you get stuck at a certain weight for a while! I hope the Oxycise program works for you! It really does give you added energy & tones your body! I lost 11 inches from my waist since November!! Hope we can continue to incourage eachother! Take Care & Good Luck! Pam

Hi Beth! Welcome to Oxycise! Not only has Oxycise helped me to lose some unwanted pounds and inches, it has dramatically changed the way I feel in general for the better. It has become a part of my life....not just some exercise I try to fit in occasionally.
Come join us in the D2L (determined to lose) O!Pals thread each day. It's a great place to find friendship and encouragement.
Looking forward to hearing more from you!

Welcome Beth! I know you'll love O! It sometimes take a little bit to get the hang of it. But, if you have any questions, we are all here to help you! I've done O on and off for over a year, but have been doing it consistently since the end of December. (now I just have to try harder to stop eating stuff I shouldn't!)
