I found the Oxycise book in our public library a few months ago and was intrigued. I really wanted to see the video to see the actual speed of breathing to get it done in 15 minutes. I did level one for a while but stopped. I picked it up again in December, then ordered level 2 & 3 during the BOGO free sale. I started level 2 a few days ago and am really enjoying the hamstring stretches and other leg stretches. I had forgotten how inflexible I had become. I haven't lost any weight. In fact I've gained, but that is due to overeating. I'll be getting back on the wagon with that ASAP--like today or tomorrow. I just need to start writing down what I'm eating again. I haven't measured in months. I'm not even sure if I'm doing the breath right or with enough "gusto." Sometimes it is a lot to coordinate everything. You are supposed to lift the abs, squeeze your butt, and do a kegel on the lift and 3 sniffs part, right? They never mention it, but I always do it. I have high hopes, but am afraid that I won't get the results I want. I can never seem to stick to any exercise. I only want to lose about 15 lbs or so.

You can read a great description of the exact way to do the Oxy breaths if you go to the top of the message board and look under "announcements", and then "breathing tips". I've NEVER been one to exercise regularly either, or to stick with any eating plan except overeating. WinkHowever, on Jan. 17, 2003, I started using Reader's Digest's Change One plan and doing Oxycise once a day, 5 or 6 days per week. I have lost 68 pounds, and lots of inches and feel like a new me! You can surely lose 15 pounds! Big Grin

It really helps to get in here everyday, and make this message board YOUR board. If anyone thinks it really doesn't matter if you post, I want to tell you that it DOES! I love reading about all the oxypals on here, and I enjoy sharing your ups and downs. So, please think of me and go ahead and POST! Big Grin

Hi CChapin1....welcome to the message board!

The more you do Oyxcise, the more natural it will become. This really is a great place for support and encouragement. You mentioned flexibility... that is one of the greatest benefits from Oxycising, in my opinion. I love all the stretches!

Hope to see you posting with us often!
