Hi. I used to quite a fan of Oxycise back in 1999 and had some good results with it. I found myself getting to the point where I really started not to enjoy my Level 1 workout and quit. I had ordered L2 but viewed it once and thought it was too difficult. Recently I pulled it out and started doing it and I loved it. I have lost an inch each in my waist, abs and hips within the 1st 2 weeks. Now I find I am starting to dread the workout again and I think it is boredom. I also have big trouble with those first 3 inhales but I just recently read a post that stated these may not be necessary for success. I just ordered L3 and L4 and hope that mixing up the tapes will help with the boredom.Anyone else have found this to be true? I do this workout at work on my break. I am a night Nurse on an Inpatient Psych Unit and hope to heck that no one can hear me huffing and puffing away. How would I explain that??

Welcome Wayoata! Glad to have you here with us! I tend to mix up some of the exercises too..I just like to have the tape going so I can keep going at the right pace. For me there are some exercises in L2 and L3 That I can't do, so I'll substitute during those for ones I can do!

As for making noise...well, you will if you're doing it with gusto! (lol!) But if anyone asks, just tell them you're doing your deep breathing exercises...sounds very healthy!

Hi! It's great to have you with us. I mix and match my positions, too. In fact, there are some days that I don't even use a tape....I just do Oxybreaths while I do other things. I like to switch the tapes around so I don't get bored or complacent with my workouts.

Glad to have you with us! I don't have any way to watch videos, so my only option is the book. However, I have found different positions in magazine articles that I do using the Oxy breaths. I vary the positions, and the places where I Oxy for variety. I love the results, so even if I get a little bit bored, it's worth it.

I know what you mean about getting bored. I am the same way. Roll Eyes I have L1 thru L4, Abs & UB and Buns & thighs 1. I rotate them. Also, the room I exercise in has a window that I enjoy looking out of while I listen and follow along with the tape. Another thing that helps is if I really focus on the muscle(s) that is being worked. It seems to make the time pass quicker because my mind is not wandering to other things. There are days that I go into that exercise room kicking and screaming Mad(figurativly), but I am so glad when I am finished. Cool It's such a short time out of the day to do something really good for yourself. I hope you stick with it. Posting on this board helps too. There are alot of nice people here that can help when you need it.
