Hello all! Its been several years since I did oxycise. In the past I did lose a few pounds and the deep breathing helped for daily activity and than I just stopped doing it. I am aware of what to do and I have most of all the early Oxycise videos. Now I plan to get back into it. I'm 53 now and weigh 12 lbs more!
My question is why is the breathing done so quickly on the videos? I find it difficult to keep up. Any comments?

Welcome to the board, SusieQ!!! I don't have any videos, so I can't answer your questions, but I just wanted to welcome you to our little space on the web! I hope you will post often!!!
I usually work through the workout slower than 15 minutes also, since I don't have a video to keep pace with. I don't think it matters that much, how fast you go, as long as you do the breathing correctly. Smile

Good luck on your journey to a slimmer you!

Hi SusieQ....welcome back!

I don't ever use the videos anymore. That way I can do the positions (and breaths) at whatever speed I want. I do my own routine of favorite positions from all the tapes I have.

Susanna's right....I don't think it matters whether you do it quickly or not.

Come post with us on the D2L thread each day!

Hello Susanna & Kelly! Thanks for the warm welcome! Susanna I just want to know if you don't use a video, are you using your own routine?

Yes, Susie, I do. I use some of the positions from Jill's book, which is level one, and some positions that I found in magazines, plus the "Awesome Legs" positions from the www.t-tapp.com website, under "try before you buy". I do the Oxybreathing with all these positions, and most often, I do them on the floor. My right hip was damaged years ago in a car accident, and just doing O consistently makes so much difference!

So, how are you doing with your re-start?

By the way, I'm 52, and many of the others on this board fall into the same age group. It doesn't really matter though, because we can all encourage each other no matter how old or young we are. Smile All the folks who post here have been absolutely wonderful!!

Welcome Susie, I missed your earlier post. Glad to have you with us. Please join us with posting. We would love to have you.

I'm 54 Smile

The breathing seemed really fast to me at first. I took time to really learn it before adding the positions. Now that I've done it for a long time, I do breathe at the video's speed. I sometimes do other positions also. Currently, I'm enjoying doing L3 with the card that tells me all of the positions. I've been noticing that I can really concentrate on each breath better that way.

Have a wonderful day.

Sharon
