Hi everybody!!

For years now I have been reading all your great messages and even posted once in a while but I am very sporadic in posting, as I am with my workouts.

I would love to post amazing results and I promise you someday soon I will but the lil' devil on my shoulder manages to talk me out of doing workouts more often than not.

Last year, from September to November I had such great results: 20# weight loss, definition, smooth skin, etc.... I was working out every day, I lived alone in my apartment so I didn't have to worry about anyone walking in on me (I get embarrassed working out in front of others...stems from when my dad walked in the room while I was working out and said, "Oh yeah, as if that'll help you"). I was living alone and I was happy and I was doing great things for myself.

Well, I decided to be an overachiever and graduate university a year early so I piled on the classes (homework, projects, etc...). I could only find the time, and the energy, for about two O! workouts a week. It helped with the stress but the weight piled back on. Thankfully I'm still 10# lighter then when I first started O!

So now I'm back home and there's always someone around so it's so difficult for me to be comfortable working out. Little by little, though, I have told my family members about my efforts, and they have been OK. Not really supportive, but not beating me up every minute like it used to be.

I just feel so happy because I managed to tell my mom and brother about what I was doing but I never told my father because of what he said to me when he saw me working out a few years ago. But last night at dinner we were talking about my diet and my dad mentioned something about how I have to workout too. To my surprise my mom chimed in and said, "You don't know what she does during the day. I can vouch for her workouts because she kicks me out of the basement to do them and I can hear her working out!!"

It was really funny because then we told him about the workout and he metnioned how great deep breathing is for losing weight. He told us about how when he was in the army in Portugal they used to make him do breathing excercises every day!

I was just really happing b/c I thought he would be the most skeptical about O! and it turns out he did something very much like it!!

Anyway, I'm rambling. I just wanted to say for the past month I have been really on top of my workouts, and this past week I started fighting to get in two a day. Today I completed 10 workouts in 5 days and I'm really happy. I haven't begun measuring but I've lost 3 lbs this week. What made me really happy is that this suit I have for interviews has been pretty snug these past few months and when I wore it two days ago it was a perfect, comfortable fit!!

I just want to thank you all for posting so many great things because I tend to get discouraged very quickly but coming back here puts me back on track. I just hope this time I won't fall off the track and if I do I won't take such a long time to get back on smile

Sorry for such a long post.
Have a great day everybody!!!

Sandy V.

Hi Sandy! What a great post!! It sounds like you are really buckling down now. I really think it will help you stick with it if you'll start trying to post daily. I know that helps me. I don't like to post unless I can report that I've done my workout, and I like to think if I didn't post, I'd be missed. So....I have to do my workouts so I can get on here and tell everyone!

It really does help when our families and friends are supportive of what we're doing. Just keep in mind you always have friends here that will encourage you! Join us each day in the D2L thread.

See you there!

Great post Sandy - isn't that interesting about your Father. Keep up the good work.

Like you Kelly, I don't like to post unless I have done my workout and because I made a commitment to post regularly it makes me do the workouts!!!!!! Weird or what lol.

Oh well, as long as it keeps me going that's okay.

Better get going for now

Take care and hugs

Hi Sandy,

you are doing great! Good that you got up the courage to tell your family - that must help you along great.

Congratulations on your great losses! You deserved those with the effort you put into your routines. Isn't it so much nicer to wear that suit for the interviews now! Good luck with it!

Do keep us posted on your progress - that will help you not to fall off the wagon again. Keep up the good work and KOBAS (keep on breathing and smiling)!

Welcome, Sandy!!

You sound so much like me it's freaky. I started posting here at the beginning of summer and explained that I was having a hard time working out in front of my kids who were home for summer vacation, and with the encouragement of all these lovely O!Pals, I got my youngest (7) into O!ing with me. That lasted about two days, but at least she wasn't laughing at me!!

I have made a new commitment to myself to do Oxycise and Jorge Cruise's 8-minute workout with weights at least five days a week now that school is back in and I have more time to spend on myself (a few minutes a day, at least).

You just keep going. The fact that your dad was so receptive to this is just a sign from Heaven (in my opinion) that this is meant for you.

Take care and keep breating!!

XOXOXOXOXO...Karen

Hi everybody! I don't know if I posted this reply correctly but I just wanted to thank you for the replies...you don't know how encouraging that is...OOPS I take it back...of course you know or you wouldn't be on this site!!!

As I said I am very sporadic with my posts but for the past two weeks my workouts have been RIGHT ON!!! I've remained consistent, 2 workouts a day 6 days a week. I really don't know about any results because I'm scared of my scale and don't have a tape measure, but good things have happened before with Oxycise and they will again.

Hopefully the results will come soon b/c I FINALLY got a job so I'm hoping to buy lots of trendy little outfits to wlooking forward to wearing cutesy, trendy little outfits to work.

Thanks again everybody. You guys are amazing and I'm praying for all of you on this site!!

Sandy, Keep up the great work it will pay off. big grin Isn't it strange how the people we love can say the most hurtful things to us. frown
It's time to move on right? We are doing this for ourselves, to make us feel healthier. From my own experience I just don't tell anyone that I'm trying something new because I always get a stupid reply. I think if we never try different things how will we find one that will work the best for us. Oxycise I believe is just the answer. For us that are extremely overweight this by far is less jarring on our bones and joints and we don't have to purchase any special equipment or join any clubs to get started. Tomorrow will be the endy of my first week at O. My pants are loose but I don't show any weight loss. My goal for next week is to add the JorgeCruise 8 minutes in the morning weight lifting routine. Sorry this post is so long also. I just started to ramble.
