Hi, I posted on another board but decided to try this one too. Does everybody really read all this stuff all the time?! Wow! That's a lot of reading!!! I started oxycising 3 wks ago and have lost 6 1/2 inches but 0 pounds! I only have the level l workout and am planning on buying level 2. My question is about the oxycise book; is it worth it or is it just another diet book? Thanks, Dani

Hi Dani!
As far as getting another tape....all her tapes are good (I don't have the Easy Does It tapes, but have all the others). My favorites are L2, L3 and Ab&UB. I do recommend the Fuel For Success book. It incorporates a very sensible eating plan (which of course I don't follow or I wouldn't have the weight problem I do) where foods are ranked as A, B, C, D and F. The idea is to keep a good grade-point average. I'm a vegetarian and blow my average by using too many eggs, dairy, products, etc. Oh....and I also eat too many sweets, chips, etc. Hmmmm....I guess I just eat too much in general! Oh...and yes, I try to read most of the posts on here. I usually check twice a day and I've been posting since this board started, so it really isn't overwhelming. Kelly |

I use Jill's Oxycise! book. Someone else mentioned that the book was like a private interview with Jill, and well worth your time to read. I like it. Hope you have good results with Oxycise. And, yes, I read the whole board, and the more people who share their experiences with us, the more fun it is!

I am super new. I ordered the book and tapes from a newspaper article. Received them this week, and discovered this site today. I had back surgery a 1 1/2 years ago, and still have some pain. I ignore it as much as possible, but still cannot do strenous exercising, so Oxycise sounds wonderful to me. I have gotten part way thru the book. Do I need to look at the Videos too. The videos I got are the basic one, and Level one. I am working real hard at eating properly for wweight loss, but am not losing much, so I am hopeful, that Oxycise will help me lose inches. I am looking forward to being a part of this discussion.

We're glad you found us, and hope you come here often! I only use the book and commuter tape, but many like the videos. Whatever works for you is fine!

Sorry I can't answer your question about the tapes because I only have the tapes and not the book! From what I'm reading on this site you can do either. I can't actually do the exercises with the tape because they go way too fast for me so I wrote them down on paper and follow that instead. Every so often I try and do it with the tape (as long as I have the pause button close beside me!!) just to be sure I'm doing it correctly. I'm doing really good with the exercises but not too good with the dieting. As a result it's been a month with no weight loss. I am seeing inches off, however, I'm up to 7 1/2 in off now! Eventually the weight must start coming off. How can you loose inches and no pounds???!!! Anyway welcome to oxycise and I hope it works for you. I'm taking a cruise is Oct and my goal is to loose 2 dress sizes. We'll see. That's my incentive. Good luck. I check the boards every couple of days so I hope to see you back. Dani

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I started Oxycise, and had some pain doing the exercises. I have had back surgery, and do have pain, so I stopped Oxycise until I could talk to my dr. Yesterday I saw him, and showed him the book. He said YES, I can definitely do the exercises slowly. So I am back at them. Sounds like I will stay with the book, since I have to go slowly. I am excited about losing inches and wt. I am on a healthy diet designed to help me lose slowly, and now OXYCISE should be another good aid in my desire to get healthy. I am not doing this just to be slim and trim, although, that will be one of the benefits. I am doing this for health reasons. Happy

I've never had back surgery, but I was in a car accident as a child, and my back has given me lots of pain ever since. Oxycise has really helped though! I recently went to see a chiropractor, and I noticed that even though it had been almost a year since I had been there, my back just hardly needed adjusting. He didn't say anything, but I could tell lots of difference!
I hope you really have wonderful results with Oxycise! Sincerely, Susanna |

I've had Jill's tapes for probably around 4 month but have a hard time staying motivated and focused. I do real good for a day or two and then get sidetracked. I hope this helps. I never have done a chat room before so bear with me.

quote: When I did Oxcyise! back in 1999, I dropped 14" and went from a size 12 to a size 8, but only dropped four pounds. That surprised me too. A lot of people I saw thought I couldn't possibly have lost only four pounds since I looked like I had lost about 10+. One thing to remember though is that one pound of fat weighs the same as one pound of muscle, but one pound of fat takes up five times the volume or space as one pound of muscle (e.g. imagine a pound of sand versus a pound of feathers and how much room each takes up). Hope that helps, Dani. Oxycise! works without a doubt! Just keep at it (as I wish I had!). Today's a new beginning! Susan R. |
