Hi everyone! I'm new to Oxycise! I ordered the tapes 5/2/03 and received them on 5/8/03. It was a very busy weekend, but I was able to watch the instructional video and the L1 video. I did the L1 video yesterday and I love it. Like several other posts I've seen, I don't feel like I'm doing the breathing exactly right, but I'll keep trying. I love it and it goes by so fast. My 12 year old son was in the room when I did the L1 tape yesterday and he kept saying "What are you doing?" and "Mom, your face sure looks funny." When I was finished, I explained to him what it was and he thought it was really cool!! Maybe he'll join me sometime?!?
Anyhow, I've been coming to this board and reading the other posts for probably about 3 weeks now. I was trying to decide if I should give O! a try. You all seem really supportive and fun and I look forward to posting with you. Hopefully I'll be able to stay motivated!!! I am hypothyroid and have gained about 30 pounds in the last 2 years. It's very discouraging to me that when I watch what I eat and don't even eat a lot, I don't lose weight, and sometimes still gain. My current weight it 190 (I was up to 197 in March, but told myself I had to do something before I reached 200). My current goal is 160. My ultimate goal is 140 (or maybe lower). Gotta go now. Hi Kristin ad Welcome.
I know how frustrating hypothyroidism can be. I also have the same condition and I take meds but somehow my metabolism is shot.When I started taking the meds I thought "great, I will take these pills and the 50 lbs I have put on will just fall off". Thanks for the warm welcome from everyone! I didn't O! yesterday and am a little bugged at myself. I started a new book and I was just going to read for half an hour and then before I knew it, an hour had gone by. Then I had errands to run. I can't let that happen, though, or I'll never "find time" to O!.
I do try doing my breathing at other times though, so I suppose I got quite a few breaths in here and there yesterday. I'd rather do a whole tape though. Anyhow ... I tend to ramble on sometimes. Regarding my hypothyroidism, I also thought (or hoped) that once I was on medication to regulate my thyroid levels, the weight would come off fairly easy. It hasn't.
