SmileHello, I'm Cindy! I wanted to introduce myself to everyone! I'm looking forward to gaining advice, information, and inspiration from each of you. I am a stay at home mom...four boys, ages 10, 8, 2, and 3 months. I am also taking prerequisites for nursing. As you can imagine, I am always busy and have very little time for myself. Some of you might consider me lucky because I have a high metabolism, eat healthy, and exercise regularly. However, I love candy and I eat lots of it. I have still managed to lose 40 lbs. of the 50 lbs. that I gained with this last pregnancy. I am 5' 4", 122 lbs. I look best at or near 115. Right now, I carry extra weight in my tummy which I'd really love to lose! My reason for being here is to gain knowledge about the oxycise program. I need something that will give me energy and consume very little time. I purchased a copy of FIRST and read the weight loss article about oxycise! In some ways, it sounds too good to be true, but I believe that it can work. After the birth of my now 8 year old son, I read an article in Womans World. It was a breathing technique (not sure if it was oxycise) combined with a 12 minute aerobic workout that guranteed 25 lb weight loss within 12 weeks. I lost 30 lbs and had tons of energy. I'm curious to know how much toning (especially Abs) I can expect from using the tapes. do I really need the tapes and what other advice would you give me about starting the oxycise program? Thanks for reading, I look forward to reading your responses.

Hi Cindy...welcome to Oxycise! I think you've come to the right place. Oxycise! is a wonderful program with SO many benefits. I have been O!ing for more than five years and can't imagine ever quitting.

If you would like to read my about my success, you can see my story on page 17 of the Smiles of Success. I've also posted an update to that in a thread called "Goals for 2006" found in the Goals section of the message board.

There are several people currently posting on here that only use the book and they've all had success. To get the toning you desire, you will need to incorporate the positions (shown on the tape AND in the book) along with the basic breath.

Come join us in the D2L (determined to lose) thread each day for accountability and encouragement. Hope to see you there!

Hi Cindy...I tried replying under 'my' post...but couldn't figure it out. Do you have
the video or are you just following the instructions in the magazine article?

I wouldn't mind ordering the tape...but we don't
use charge cards or even bank cards...we're very
old foggy and do everything the 'old' way...cash only. I'll read some of the other
posts later...just haven't had time.

Glad you've noticed an increase in energy...hope
it will work for you. I'm going to give it a
try. katydid

Hi Cindy!
You know, that thinking that it's "too good to be true" kept me from ordering my Oxycise book for over a year. I finally DID order it, and lost 68 pounds in one year. So I would certainly encourage you to "go for it!" I only have the book, and have never seen a video. I know that others love the variety that the videos provide, but you certainly don't need anything more than the book to have wonderful success with Oxycise.
