Hi everyone,
I am new to this message board, but not new to Oxycise.I orginally started it two years ago, but because I didn't have much weight to loose(5 lbs.or so) didn't really see any results. For the past year I have been weight training 4 times a week at a gym and have doubled my strength and my muscle tone has improved, although I have only lost about 2 pounds over the past year. I am thinking of starting to Oxycise again and dropping the weight training. I am wondering if I will be able to maintain my strength and muscle tone with Oxycise alone. Does anyoine out there have any information on the effects of Oxycise on muscle size and strength and also on bone density? |

I'm Julie, assistant to Jill Johnson. Over the years we have heard from several customers who say they are combining the Oxycise! breathing along with weight training. And many Oxycise! fans say they are able to increase the intensity of their Oxycise! workouts by strapping on ankle and wrist weights.
But we have also received emails and letters from athletes who are doing ONLY Oxycise! and say they are in better condition than ever. We have posted these accounts at www.oxycise.com/faq/athletes.htm Here's just one of the testimonials: "I have been doing Oxycise! for about 2-1/2 weeks now. Being a Personal Trainer, Assistant Manager, and the club Aerobics Coordinator, I stay in pretty good shape. But I quit doing all forms of cardio and weight training at the beginning of March waiting for the Oxycise! program to come in. I wanted to see just how good it worked, so I became my own experiment. "After doing it for just 2-1/2 weeks, I went from 111 lbs to 109, from 25" to 24" waist, from 35" hips to 34- 1/2", and from a 21" thigh to 20-1/2". But even better than all this was having members and one of my fellow trainers notice the difference. She walked by and squeezed my arm and did a double take because of the way it felt. She said, ' What have you been doing? Your arms feel great.' When I told her I hadn't as much as lifted a weight in a month, she almost fell over. It's been little comments like this that have encouraged me and proven that others notice too! "It has also helped me with my hypoglycemia and my energy level. I was diagnosed about 2 months ago and I get terrible shakes and fatigue if I don't eat every 2 hours. I no longer get the shakes every 2 hours. I find that I can go longer before my symptoms begin to surface. This has made a world of difference at my job because I stay so busy. "I'm so excited about this program and just can't wait to share it now that I know FIRST HAND how great it works!" It's a good idea to measure your progress by testing your body fat percentage, rather than relying on the scale alone. This is especially true if you are close to your ideal weight. Jill recommends getting a baseline test when you begin Oxycise! and then re-testing every month or two.
You are likely to burn fat and ADD muscle mass at the same time. So it's very possible to improve your muscle tone, strength, and body composition without seeing much change in weight. |
