Hi everyone. I started doing Oxycise about a week ago. It's a lot of fun, but tough right now because of bad hay fever Frown

I was surprised at how many muscles get worked doing the Level One positions.

I've been following the McDougall Program for three years (whole grains, beans, veggies, fruit, no added fats) and so don't really need to do this for weight loss, but weight maintenance is always a concern. At age 51, I'm tired of lifting weights, treadmill, crunches, etc. Time for something new! Oxycise seems a good fit with my diet and regular walking/stretch program. I did yoga and chi kung/tai chi for many years, but have gotten away from that because I am tired of the New Age religious connections. Oxycise is exercise and breathing, pure and simple, and feels very satisfying.

Welcome Jan! I hope you enjoy Oxycise! I know I certainly love the way it makes me feel.

I'm not sure if you meant you were tired of yoga because of the spiritual part or the new age part. However, I have some yoga tapes that are considered "Christian" yoga. I'm not too experienced about yoga, but they really just seem to be stretching/breathing tapes.

Anyway...We're glad to have you join us and hope Oxycise turns out to be everything you want it to be!

Hi Jan! Welcome! Big Grin

I was also surprised at how many muscles were worked when I started Oxycise. One thing I really like about it is you can do it virtually anywhere. I do it at my desk at work, in the car, in the shower, etc. I hope you like it. Keep us posted.
