Am doing well this week, which will be my first full week doing O! everyday. Still only doing 10 of the full 30. But every little bit helps, and at least I'm doing it whereas I have told myself over and over I'd do them and never have. Ever since last Friday, I have done 10 of them everyday except Sunday. For me this is a BIG difference!

Here I am 10 days later and my husband threatened to send me to the doctor if I don't do at least 20 O's! for 5 consecutive days! My right akle has swollen to almost twice the size of my left ankle and it is not my sugar!
Oh, well, I will try this and I do think it will help. |

CC you should go to the doctor and have that ankle looked at. That doesn't sound good. Are you elevating it? Why is it swollen?

Yea, I know, but we'll try this for a week, and if I don't get any better, then I'll submit to the 'ole Doc!
I've had swollen ankles before, durring my pregnancies, but I AM NOT PREGNANT!!! I think it's because I've put on a little weight! Thanks for caring Jeans! |

Hi Sharon, The old ankles are still swollen and now my hands are swelling by the end of the day. I just keep putting it off, but I did make a Dr. appt. for this Tues. I am walking 4 miles a day in good weather and it is all up hill for 2 miles and downhill coming back. It takes me approx. 2 hours to do it, (yesterday it only took 1hr 45min!) but it's good exercise and good for my vericose veins!
I've got to get back to doing Oxycise, but I just keep putting it off. I hate exercising!!! But I know that if I am to loose all this excess baggage I carry around, that is not helping my health one bit, it will be whenever I consistantly do my Oxycise. How are you doing? Do you have a problem doing Oxycise? |

Hi Candycane! I was glad to see your post today, and sorry that you're having problems. Did you look at the water website? www.watercure2.com. One of my friends was having problems with her ankles swelling while she was pregnant, and her dr. told her to take sea salt. It made the swelling go right down. The water website recommends water and sea salt, and there are some interesting testimonials there!
I have never been an exercise lover. I struggle to keep myself halfway consistent with O, even though I lost 68 pounds in one year doing it. To help me keep myself on track, I use a calendar and some stickers, and give myself a sticker for each workout. It's kind of motivating, to see lots of stars on my calendar. I hope you can get on top of your health problems, and really enjoy Oxycise! I really enjoy all of the benefits of Oxycise, when I am consistent. I still can't say that I love to do it, but I listen to my favorite tunes, and move around to different places in the house, so that helps a bit, too. By the way, a four mile walk would kill me! You go girl!!! Good luck! |

Hi Candycane! I grew up by the sea, and LOVE sea salt. I can remember my sis actually licking her skin after we swam because she liked it. Maybe we had a vitamin deficiency.LOL Anyhow, I plan to get some of that sea salt too! I like the sticker idea too. Also maybe if I post here, I'll be more accountable!

Candycane,
Thinking of you today as you head off to the Dr. I am really proud of you that you are walking four miles a day. Way to go. I'm not that great at exercising, but I know that if I am truly determined to loose this weight, that I must. So sometimes, I just keep telling myself over and over, go do it. When I'm finished, I feel so much better. Oxycise is the only exercise, that has really worked for me to actually loose weight. Still have a long ways to go. The message board has helped me to stay motivated Have a blessed day. Susanna I'm going to check out that web site. Like Polly I've lived near the ocean and do like sea salt. Just haven't bought any in a long time. Sharon |

I really like sea salt. It tastes different than processed salt, but it's a "good" different! Years ago, when my mother was dying of cancer, my dad took her to Mexico as a last resort. There they put on a very healthy diet, and sea salt was the only salt allowed. Her diet then was not much different than I am doing today, except she drank lots of freshly squeezed carrot juice! She felt much better for her last few weeks, eating that way. Anyway, I'm convinced that sea salt is good for us!!!

Hi Sharon & Susanna, I was kind of discouraged after going to the dr yesterday. He did not think it was a circulation problem or a vericose vein problem and told me to dramatically reduce my intake of salt, including sea salt. He did do a whole blood fasting glucose test today and I should get the results back by Friday. But I tell you what, I read a lot on that sea salt web site and both my husband and I are convinced it would help, at least on the swelling. For years we have been using Real Salt instead of regular salt with our food, but I want to try it in my distilled water which I'll do as soon as I can get to the store. That's one dr order that I'm definately not going to follow!!!!
Susanna, I'm so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing no matter how long ago it was, it's still hard! Sharon, You are a motivator!!!! I will do at least 5 Oxycise today, before church! I know it will work, I've just got to quite making all these "petty" excuses, like, "I'm too busy, I haven't got time." You're great, girls! Ruth-Ann |

Hi Candycane,
I've been missing you. Glad to see you back. Just a quick thought, my husband reminds me that not only am I doing O for my health, but also so that I can finish my course, in all that God has for me to do. Congratulations on doing it consistently for 3 days. Sharon |

Thanks Sharon! Boy, are you right! That reminds me of the verse:
1Co 9:24 "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain." God has a job for me and I can't do it properly if my health is failing because I give excuses of why exercising is not for me. You've been a big encouragement to me today! Have a GREAT day! (And I'll keep O'ing!) |

So far so good. I've lost 7 lbs since last Wed. But I'm watching what I eat by eating smaller portions as well as O'ing!

Long time, no see! This has been an extremely busy summer with an even busier school year ahead. Nevertheless my health and weight, which go hand in hand, must be included. If I just say, "I'm too busy," it will never be done.
Months ago I lent out my Oxycise book to an "uninterested" person, (hindsight is always 20/20!) Today I'm going to begin the process of trying to get my book back, tactfully, I might add! I do remember a few of the exercises and will do those today, hopefully a full 30, if I don't get too sore! I do say, typing this is motivating and encouraging! |
