Maybe someone has talked about this subject before, I'm new to all of this. But my Oxypal is sick with a bad cold and was asking me how she can do Oxycise when you can't breathe through your nose. Is it all right to do that first breath through your mouth? It seems to me you would still get the benefit of the oxygen, just not the warmed air you get from breathing through your nose. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry that your friend is sick. I think this was brought up before on the old board. If I remember correctly, it's fine to breathe through your mouth if you can't get in air through your nose.

Sometimes, when my nose is stuffed, I use a nasal strip and a Vicks inhaler thingie. Maybe that would help your friend? Hope she gets better soon.

Take care everyone, and KEEP BREATHIN'!

I think Susan is right. On the old board it might even have been Julie who said to just go ahead and breathe through your mouth when the nose is all stuffed up.

Wasn't it Cindy who had so much problems breathing due to an allergy this summer? Maybe she has some suggestions, as well.

Regards to your friend - hope she gets well soon. Take care,

Hey, thanks to everyone who answered my question about what to do if you have a cold and can't breathe through your nose. I did give her that suggestion and she said it worked well for her. I hope she's better soon, I haven't heard yet.

Well, thanks so much again.
