I posted this earlier today and thought it might help others who are having a HARD time losing as I have had. Please look over my suggestions and see if this might work for you.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

I weighed again this AM and I have lost another pound....THat makes 5 POUNDS total since I started...just about a month ago. I beleive that the Loow-Carb Diet is REALLY helping things along with Oxycise and 2 mile walk at night.

It is amazing to me. I have been feverishly starvation type dieting and walking since February...finally lost 10 pounds and then gained it all back in about a week. Aaahhhhh. That is how I got here to Oxycise.

****Nothing has worked as fast as the Low-Carb, Oxycise and walking for me. I have finally fouhnd something GREAT...!!! I feel so GOOD. My tummy is flatter and I don't feel stuffed with water retention, all the time.

My Menu:

For those wondering what I eat....I have an egg or two in the morning...with two slices of bacon and big glass of water. For Lunch I have a small can of tuna mixed with sour cream, hand full of cashews and some spinich salad with a light oil dressing. For snacks I usually have two or three a day.....I eat plain yogert mixed with a packet of Spenda and a drop of vanilla....MMM it is good...!!! Usually can add a few berries to it. For dinner I have fish or chicken and veggies....LOTs of veggies or spinich salad.

I eat alot....REALLY...!!!! I do not Eat cheese...only chream cheese or sour cream. I do not eat Bread or yeast of any kind. So this bis not really Adkins...because when I did that I ate cheese and other dairy. I am staying away from all that this time. Oh...No peanuts and No corn products. Smile

At Night....before bed I take Psyllium Husk...in the powder form as a Natural intestinal cleanse. I really works. It is unflavored with no sweetners in it....you can find it at GNC or most health food places. It is $6.99 for 12 oz tub...You mix a tsp with an 8 oz glass of water. By 9 Am.....you feel Great...!!! HA.

Just a suggestion. I think it is important to make sure you keep things moving while you lose weight. At least that is what I have read. Big Grin

This is really working...feel free to try it. Hope this helps some of you that may have platued....Like Me. It has been such a break through for me, so I just have to share it.

Off to do my Oxybreaths.....that is so important to keep the Metabolism working for you....!!!!

God Bless and Have great Day.

I appreciate you taking the time to give the details of what is working for you. I'm printing it up and I want to try it. We even have GNC here in Guatemala, so they may even have that stuff you were recommending. Thank-you again, I'll keep you posted about how it works for me!

Dear Jennifer,

Thanks for your post...it was encourageing to know that someone out there might be helped by my story...!!!! Big Grin

I post regularly on the Daily Accountability section. If you would like to post there...we can keep up with eachothers progress.

Please let me know if you have any questions about what I am doing....Or let me know if you find something that works for you...would love to hear what you are doing...that is working.

Hope you can find the Psyillium husks powder....with no sugar. It really helps. I tastes like "Cream of Wheat" cereal...if you have had that. I don't mind it, but if you don't like the taste (unflavored is the best...no sugar)...then hold your nose and drink it FAST...!!!!

Low Carbs, Oxycise and walking....Are WORKING for ME...!!! Big Grin

I know there are several that are starting...Low-Carb with O....GREAT..!!! Big Grin

Wanted you to have some more information to help you stay on track.

Here is a great site that I have found. This is the reason that I am on a Low-Carb Diet. It is good for my health. I am convinced that O and a Low-Carb Diet are good choices.

There is a relationship between....molds/fungus....poor health and HIGH-Carb diets. Read the Forum posts.....interesting.

I have read the books and watched the TV show as well....Cutting EDGE...information...that the medical field doesn't want to believe.

I encourage you all the check this site out and let me know what you think.

What low carb plan are you following, or is it your own version? It sounds good, I think that on some plans people go to crazy with the fats and don't loose then quit. But your plan sounds great!!

Thanks,
Toni

Toni...and all those to follow,

If you read my post above I have described what I eat and what I don't eat.

I am not on the Atkins Diet....The website the I mentioned above....iknowthecause.com is where I ordered the book " The Fungus Link and the Fungus Link 2. These books contain the phase 1 Diet that I am trying to follow for better Health.

The Phase 1 Diet is not just for weight loss, but that is a benefit of the Diet. The diet itself is designed to help cleanse your body of fungus. Basically, fungus, molds and yeasts needs Carbs and sugars to sustain themselves....so you don't eat those, along with several other foods that are known to carry molds (fungus) or yeasts...All cause you health concerns over the long haul.

Check out the website...I think you will find it enlightening. Better still try to see if the program "Your Health" (family Net TV) is available in your area....it is a great program...or order one of the Fungus Link Books. You can find out about the TV show on the website.

The difference between what I am doing and what Atkins style diets do is........

I don't eat dairy or formented cheese....only sour cream, yogurt and some cream cheese. With Atkins...I ate lots of cheeses. I eat No peanuts or products containing them. No corn and no potatoes...NO bread with yeasts. I eat meats, chicken, eggs, tuna, bacon, ham and fish (alot). I eat Cashews....sunflower seeds and berries, grapefruit. TONS of veggies....Fresh and SALAD. Oil style dressings (everything else has cheese in it or carbs) and real butter.

I do eat alot.....but it is the right kind of stuff....so I am losing.

Hope this helps....

IT is always helpful to read what has helped other people! Smile I can tell you what keeps me regular, I eat a spinach salad with nuts and chicken and oranges and a hard boiled egg for dinner each night and the next morning I am clean as a whistle! Wink

Hey Oxycise GAl it has been ages since your last post, how are you managing with your eating system?

I wrote down all that you eat and with a few exceptions we are doing the same thing. I am going to add the yogurt with splenda (great idea!) and the cashews and cream cheese. Are almonds alright?

we too eat tons of fish, if you have any favorite recipies for herbs or whatever feel free to let me know! I usually bake pickerel which is a firm white fish with a little butter and dijon mustard. I buy 6#'s of it a week and we go thru it really fast.

For my spinach salad I use an olive oil/red wine vinegar mixture, can I use oranges and almonds in my salad? These are the things I have been doing but I am concerned about this fungus thing, I have inflammatory bowel disease, Chron's disease. The more pure my diet the healthier I am. I take meds 4x a day plus cod liver oil 4x day.

I hope you see this!

Chat with you later. I do post on D2L so if you want to answer me there I will be on the lookout. THanks!

Psyllium husk can be bought in bulk at most health food stores for much less than is mentioned here. What is splenda made from? I know that a lot of chemical sweeteners have terrible side effects. Another great weight loss tool is eating more raw foods especially fats. Raw dairy is much easier to digest than pasturized and raw butter eaten regularly does wonders for skin, hair, nails and digestion.

Check out the Weston A Price Foundation and the cookbook Nourishing Traditions for wonderful recipes and great stories about what native cultures around the world ate and why they were so healthy. There is also a great book called Traditional Foods Are Your Best Medicine and for the truly adventurous, a website called PrimalDiet.com which goes into some really mindbending stuff about raw foods. When I tried his diet I lost 10 pounds in the first few days and it kept going as long as I ate that way even though I was eating tons of fat.

I've also been hearing wonderful things lately about coconut oil for weghtloss and help with low thyroid function. There's a great sounding place that sells virgin coconut oil on the web made by small family farms in the Phillipines by hand with no chemical or mechanical extraction. Good luck! ena

Thanks for your incouragement. My question to you is this....
Do you not eat BREAD at all? What do you do for a sandwich?

Are you counting calories? I hate doing that because I work and it takes too much time to weigh items, also I eat in cafeteria.
What is your advice?

Thanks!

Here is a sandwich suggestion for you. I learned this through Somersizing with Suzanne Somers. I make all my sandwiches out of lettuce. I use big leafs of lettuce or else big hunks of iceberg and put my lunch meat or burger or whatever in that instead of bread!

Hi Lin:
My name is RUth. I need to loose about 50 lbs, for the sake of my knees. I am 67 yrs. old and my old knees have some problems. However I don't want any surgery. SO....the weight has to come off. I am trying to cut back on carbs and it seems to be working, even though I have not cut out carbs altogether. I cannot eat lettuce or spinach or celery as I have IBS and diverticulosis. Bad combination. any other suggestions besides making a sandwich with lettuce?
I need ALL the help I can get. HAte counting calories. It seems to make me eat more. :-)

Hi, I know this is an old post but I thought to read as much as I can to understand O...Ive been on all the diets that are on this earth and to tell you the truth NOTHING WORKS...the lastest craze is Low Carb. Yes works for a while and if does for you, by all means go and get it till you reached your goal. But evenually, you will end up eating grains one day...mother nature gave us the proper food to eat and the air to breath...it is up to us to use it as intended...and a lot arent and that is why everyone is getting bigger and bigger...plain simple truth, eat fresh, exercise, and enjoy life...nothing is wrong with eating bread...nothing is wrong with eating pasta or rice...its the amount that you eat that counts and make sure its whole grain stuff just like mother nature gave us...I hope this make sense what I am trying to say...go back to the basics...Fresh Food...Breath...and Relax...

Wink
