SO WHY DONT EVERYONE JOIN ME IN THIS. WE CAN SET A BIWEEKLY GOAL AND PLAN ON A REWARD FOR IT. MY 2 WEEK GOAL ON NOVEMBER 10TH WILL BE TO GET TO 142LBS. MY REWARD WILL BE TO BUY ME THE L4 WORKOUT TAPE AND A CRYSTAL CHARM FROM EBAY. WHAT WILL YOUR 2 WEEK GOAL BE, AND WHAT WILL YOUR REWARD BE? PLEASE POST YOURS, TOGETHER WE CAN ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER ALONG THE WAY! Big Grin

I would be up for joining you in this. (Today, as I was supposed to be paying attention in class, I was basically doing the same thing: breaking down mini-goals.) And rewards are great for keeping up the motivation. (When my friend and I started Weight Watchers two months ago, we planned to reward ourselves every 10 pounds. Its now been 23.4 pounds later, and O rewards, so I'm looking to reward myself). I think I would like to focus on losing 11.6 of my 191.4 pounds by New Years to make my total 35. (I would really like to be down to 40 but with holidays, I have to be realistic too, not just hopeful.) That would also mean my BMI would make me no longer obese, although still in the overweight category. I'm not quite sure what my reward will be though. I'll have to think about that one. Food and clothes have always been my rewards in the past but they won't be this time.

I agree that just feeling and looking better are wonderful rewards by themselves. One thing I have started to do is to take better care of my skin, and it's kind of fun to try different kinds of oil. Some of them are pretty expensive, so I thought I would appreciate them as a reward. I don't know if any of you read the discussion about skin brushing that was posted several months ago, but you just brush your skin with a natural bristle brush before showering or bathing, and then afterwards you apply some kind of oil. (For more complete details, read the posts under "flabby gut" on "General Discussion".)
So far I've tried "Burt's Bees Vitamin E Body and Bath Oil". It really smells good, and feels good, too. Recently I found almond oil in the grocery store, but I haven't tried it yet. Anyway, I think it's important to take good care of our skin. I haven't always, and now I really react to cold weather with rashes. Frown
I'm sure there are many things that you could use for rewards...just anything that you wouldn't normally buy or do anyway, but you really would like to have or to do.
