Okay Buddies!!!

I'm issuing a challenge to those of us who have had a hard time staying on board the O-wagon recently. Let's see how many of us can jump back on and do our O 6 days a week for the entire month of August. We need each other, and it helps so much if we can inspire each other to just really try hard to get it done. How about it???

I am in like-Flynn!
Started O-ing several times before...the last being a year or so ago, and never stuck with it.
BUT THAT WILL CHANGE!

We do need to bolster each other.....

so 6 days a week it is!!!!

Yahooooooo!!!! I needed this kick as much as anyone. I tend to be such a slacker these days, when it comes to exercise, and it really does make a difference if I know someone EXPECTS me to get it done.

Thanks so much for joining me, Ladies!!!

Lin, I'll be looking for those recipes!

Kelly, you've been so steady! We appreciate you!

Okay, 2B, I'll add the gusto part too.

You can count me in too. It's really going to be a challenge for me because I have family coming home to stay here for more than a week. My daughter, her two boys (one is 7 the other is 2) and her husband. Nothing is sacred or private while they are here so I will have to wear more than undies when I do my "O" but I'm still gonna do it. Thanks for the challenge, now I can say "but I have to, I commited to my "O"Pals". Bonny

Okay Ladies! That's great!!! This is getting to be more fun!!! Big Grin
Remember that you can do ANY positions in any order, as long as you do 30 reps for a workout. I never have used a video, so I just memorized the positions from the book, which is level 1, and I do them wherever I want to. I listen to my favorite tunes, if it's convenient. (Just some thoughts for those of you who are having company or visiting in someone else's home.)

Anyone else joining us???

Hi, everybody!
I will be getting to my O's in a jiffy, but want to ask a dumb question.
I know we can vary our positions ,etc.,
BUT can one just do the breathing reps and still lose? No exercising; just breathe 10 reps 3 times for a workout?
I may have asked that before so I beg your forgiveness if I have. Got a lousy memory. And it may be in the book etc.......I will look again.
But figured someone here would know! Smile

Anne Louise,

I'm not sure if you can lose by just breathing or not, but anytime you breath deeply, you are benefitting your body. The purpose behind stretching while you breath, is to get the oxygen into the muscles that you are stretching, the way I understand it. When you do that, it helps your metabolism, which helps burn fat. Do I sound like I know what I'm talking about??? Big Grin I really don't! This is just what I've gleaned from reading. If you really want to know the answer to this question, you might email Julie@oxycise.com . She can answer all kinds of things.

thanks, Susanna: will try Julie, but I seldom get an answer. I use the message board but will just try straight email.
But I do think you are correct......gotta get the metabolism moving correctly for your set point. Or something like that! Smile

Susanna:
One reason maybe for the breathing is to tighten the tummy. I have a good ole pot belly! My arms are still in good shape from previous weight lifting and doing the sitting O's and my legs need to lose not one iota of an ounce more..or there won't be any Wink
So guess I thought the breathing might tighten up the belly and shed the large spare tire. oh well, will write Julie tomorrow.

I believe in my experince with playing around with O, that yes you can loose weight just doing the breathing, espically in the tummy area. But I have found that adding positions helps me from getting bored and wanting to put off doing O. And doing positions helps me more with my thighs, I too have a belly on me, but I also have big thighs and a big buttSmile So I have to help that oxygen get down to the lower body which is where I carry 90 percent of my weight to begin with! And like I said, to ease up boredomSmile

Jessa, you're on! All you need to do now is post on the D2L thread like you did today, and let us know that you did your workout.

Anne Louise, I understand your question better now. I really think just breathing and tightening the abs would help.
