Hi everyone. I've had my DVDs for a while now and thought I was motivated but really wasn't. I actually watched the learning tape a couple of times but never actually followed through with the Oxycise program. Now I know I am ready. My dad is 80 but I take as much medicine as he he does. I turned 41 on August 20. I have multiple health problems including migraines, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, venous reflux in my legs, GERD, and most importantly morbid obesity (307 pounds this morning on my 5' 4" frame). I am considering today, 9/4, my re-birthday. I am going to start slowly but by this time next year I plan to have made much progress toward getting healthy, both spiritually and physically. I started out this morning reading my bible, something else I have gotten away from.
I recently stepped down from my supervisor position and started working at home, so I have no excuse not to fix healthy meals (I worked in a medical office where pharmaceutical reps brought in food all day long). My goal for this week is get up at 3:00 a.m., read my bible, do my oxycise, shower and get ready to start my day, and be finished with my 8 hour work day at 12:00. (I have three dogs and have to take some "potty breaks during the day". I am much more productive early in the morning (I currently start my day at 5:00 and finish between 1-2 p.m.), but hopefully I'll still feel like cleaning my house when I'm finished with my day and eventually have enough energy for a second round of Oxycise. Hopefully I'm not dreaming too big and will fall on my face. I'll let you know. Shari (sorry for rambling) |

Dear SHari,
My, Glad I read your post! You are one motivated Gal! Up at 3? WHew! I'm trying to figure out how to juggle my sched. for this week now that I'll be teaching just 1/2 a day, but must take my 4 yr old with me. That's where things get dicey. My DH gets up at 545 so I may try that to have some QT before DS wakes up. Wouldn't mind biblestudy too. But O! is the first priority as I won't do it if I don't do it first! Look forward to hearing from you! Don't overdo it though! Polly |

Hi Shari!
I'm glad you're ready to start again! If you feel that you've set your sights too high, just ease back and do what you can. The important thing is to move forward, even if it's slowly. Doing your O! and having devotion time sound like a winning combination to me! Come post with us each day. We'll help keep you accountable and provide lots of encouragement! |
