Hi everyone, I figure if I share it with you all I will have to follow through....
My first goal is to do L1 every morning at least 5 days a week. So far I have done well with this except I took the weekend off to travel to my sister's and visit with her. But I got right back at it first thing Monday morning.
My second goal is to control my eating. I am a compulsive overeater....this is difficult to control but I have done it before and I will do it again.
My third goal corresponds with the second....I want to change my eating habits so that it is a habit to stop even if there is only one last bite! I was taught I had to eat it 'cos it's a sin to waste it....I now beleive that it is a sin to destroy my body with food it doesn't need or want. I am learning to make less and take less....who knows maybe my DH will lose weight too Smile Bonny

Bonny -

It's great to write down the goals. Do it on paper too and when you accomplish them, check them off!

You might look into the book Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz. His theories and ideas are revolutionary (still are even though he published the book originally in 1960). He believes that willpower isn't enough to make you accomplish things you set out for yourself that you have to change bad programming in order to be successful.

Bonny, Your honesty about overeating is the start. I just wanted to let you know about a free website where they delve into that issue from a Christian standpoint. Actually, I heard about it from one of the success stories on this site it's www.settingcaptivesfree.com (click on Lord's Table)

Good luck, Bonny! We are behind you 100%

I found it much easier to try and control my eating once I started writing down everything I eat.

Hi Blynn,
You have made an excellent start on this. You can do it!

Anita 43, I am going to check out the website you noted. It might well be a good help for me.
