Hi All! My name is Carol, I am 44 years old and I am pretty new to Oxycise!. I got my tapes and book last fall and only did a little then didn't do anything. I am ready now to work hard and reach my goals for good! Eek Ok, here it goes:
Here were my Starting stats on 2/8/03:
Weight 240 lbs Goal Weight 138 lbs
Body Fat 50%(yikes!) Goal 25%
Height 5 ft 7 ins.

Bust 46.5 I don't know my inch goals
Waist 44.5 because I have never been a
Hips 47.5 thin adult. But I can't wait
to see what isinstore! Confused

Today I am: 235.6 lbs
so far: 4.4 lbs lost
1.3 % Body Fat lost
6 1/8 inches lost

This is AMAZING to me as I have yet to do a full tape at once, but I am doing parts of the L1 tape each day and getting in many Basic Breaths throughout the day. My goal this week is to do the tape all at once each day and 10 reps of Basic Breath each day at least.

Thanks for all your posts and the inspiration I have already gotten just by reading old posts. Ready, Set, Breathe! Thanks-CarolC Smile

Thanks Shelbie!
I appreciate the encouragement. I hope I can keep up the momentum. I have had trouble in the past keeping up with good changes. But it feels different this time, I hope I'm not fooling myself. I think the difference is Jill's program, it really is great!
Ready, Set, Brethe! Wink
Have a great day! I'm off to Oxycise now!

I just realized it looks like I lost all the inches in 3 places--I actually measure my thigh, upper arm and calf too, but just listed the 3 major ones. Sorry if I mislead anyone. I'm watching 4 of my nieces and nephew today and I'm going to get them to do it with me for fun and encouragement! Should be a riot! Razz

Hi Carol,

It's nice to get to know you. You've done a wonderful job so far! Your body is thanking you for taking time for it, even a little bit, as that is a change from what it is used to.

We neglect our bodies and try to take diet pills, eat special combinations of foods, etc. to undo the damage. Isn't it odd that we find the answers in the simplest things that others take for granted and assume they are doing already--breathing, drinking water, sleeping. I don't think the secret to weight loss is really such a secret, maybe it's just too obvious.

Keep it up! ~~Bethel

Hi Carol,

You are really doing well. Oxycise is so good for us in so many ways. Bethel is right, maybe we should just keep it simple to get the results we want. I have never stuck with anything for very long either, but I have been doing Oxycise since June and I think what keeps me motivated is the fact that it only takes 15 minutes and you don't have to kill yourself to do it. Also, this board has been such a great help to me. Good luck.

Thanks Alicia and Bethel for your encouragement. You guys are doing great!
Yes, I want to first just get in the habit of doing the 15 min a day and get that down pat and work on eating better (aleady have made better choices naturally) then I'll work on more workouts.
I see a lot of folks do many workouts--is that necessary for wt loss? or are these folks trying to lose faster or gain extra muscle? It seems a little discouraging Confused to me that I will need to do weights, walks and O! What I understood Jill to say in her book is that this is all we should need to do (and eat properly) if we do it properly and with Gusto, to lose the weight! I'm not being critical of anything, I'm just trying to see how it all works. Would love your feedback.
Thanks everyone! Roll Eyes

Hello Carol! Sounds like you have been doing great! You don't have to do extra exercises to lose weight! I do, because I feel that I can benifit from anything extra I do! I lost about 25 lbs after my last baby (with the help of O & better eating) but then I kinda slacked off. At the end of December I started doing O again and have lost some inches and some weight, but I am a slow loser. Also, I am a new vegetarian and am still in the habbit of eating a lot of carbs which are slowing my loses down! So, I just added in the walk tapes a couple weeks ago! You don't NEED to add any extra exercises, but you can if you WANT to! I figured that I'm only 27 & not too active, so It couldn't hurt! Big Grin Keep up the good work!

Hi Carol, just wanted to comment on the additional exercise thing--I guess b/c I am just starting with Oxycise! and haven't been able to see exactly how much it will benefit me, I feel the need to do some exercise on the side. I actually enjoy a little bit of mild exercise--walking, slow bike riding, stretching. I hate feeling out of physical condition, etc. I feel like since I'm only 31, I should be able to walk several miles and ride a bike a couple of miles without any trouble, which it is a lot of trouble right now.
