I am just reading about the Oxycise tapes and was wondering if they really work? It really sounds like the right way to exercise and it makes sense. But money is very tight at my house and I cant just buy the next best thing going out there. Please give me your reviews on the system.

I ordered my mom a tape to go with her collection and when it came, there was a $5.00 gift certificate towards my next purchase. My suggestion is to order the level 1 tape and if you like it, then use the certificate to order another one. Some people who post on here say that you can buy them on Ebay at a savings. I have all the tapes Level 1-4 Upr body, buns and thighs 1 and 2. I love all the tapes. I do a different one every day so I don't get bored. It's a personal preference. I do like Oxycise for the simple reason..I feel better physically and mentally. I haven't lost a lot of weight but I have lost inches. I think good eating habits and Oxycise will help you lose weight. I depends on how hard you work at it and how successful you want to be. Go to the other threads and read what everyone has to say and stick with us for support. There are a lot of nice people posting here and they will coach and encourage you. Personally, I think Oxycise is the best program going!!! I just use Jill's book ($14.95) which is level 1, and I've lost 68 pounds and 34 inches in one year's time! It's been great!!! I use the Change One plan from the Jan. 2003 issue of Reader's Digest for a guideline on calories and food combinations. (In other words, I didn't spend much money on my weight loss program!) If you prefer to use the tapes though, just buy what you can afford over time. They do run specials, too. If you'd like to try before you buy, here are some ideas that I'll copy from another post: "I think you can still get started RIGHT NOW without having any books or tapes. The magic of oxycise is in the breath, not the specific stretches and exercises. The breath brings in tons of oxygen, which burns fat. The stretches just tone things up. You can learn how to do the breath with info right here on the website. Go to the home page. On the left side of the page, look almost to the bottom of the page and click on "Media Information". On that page click on "Feature Articles". Then click on the first article-"First For Women". There Jill tells how to do the breath with pictures! Now, Start practicing the breaths. Here on the message page, at the "Announcement" section, read the "breathing tips" to understand better how to do it. Don't get discouraged! Just keep practicing! 4 complete breaths is the same as one "rep"- so 30 reps a day is 120 breaths. Try to work up to 30 reps or 120 breaths a day. I'm sure you have done some stretching in gym classes in school. Start adding stretches with the breaths - just hold the stretch during the rep (4 breaths). The stretches will help tone up your muscles. Don't force your body to do any stretches that are uncomfortable." Anyway, I hope you decide to join us!
