Hello!
I have been using my O! tapes for a little over a week now, and just love them! Now, if I could only get my Upper Respiratory Infection to go away, I could probably do more O! without wheezing, sneezing, and coughing!
Anyway, I have the Bodyflex book from a long time
ago, I had started on those movements back when I first got the book, but honestly, I hated the BF breath- I would get very sick and dizzy so that I could never finish the moves. However, there are some moves in that book that I do like, I am just wondering if I can incorporate those into my O! routine as well. Anyonw know? Thanks for the help!

Hi Beth! I'm not familiar with the Bodyflex postions, but I would think you could adapt Oxycise to any position. I do my breaths many times just doing everyday things like vacuuming. I'd say if it's comfortable....do it!

Thanks Kelly!
I may even do the breaths during my favorite Yoga moves as well, for the extra benefits.
Not sure if the O! is working yet, have not measured/weighed this week, but my size 14 are at least looser, which makes me happy. I am not very worried about loosing weight/inches at this point, since I am about to do an in vitro fertilization round in about 3 weeks, and am hoping to be pg from that, but the meds do make my tummy SWELL up, so that my normal clothes end up being very tight and painful- so if I can start this round of IVF w/my clothes being loose, by the time I start my cycle and swell up, hopfully my clothes will just fit w/out discomfort!
Anyway, thanks for the help!

Ever tried doing O while walking? WOW! That'll make a normal walk even more challenging.

I like to do it when I'm at the mall and walking since it's generally fairly loud and nobody notices my noises.

Thanks Tracey! Another great idea!
O! is just so very easy to do for me! I find myself doing it the second I get home, and really wanting to do it! I have done exercise routines before where I DREADED having to do them, really had to motivate myself to get to it... but not O! Really, it is very easy to carve out at least 15 minutes of my day to do the O! moves. I love it, just curious to see if it is actually working for me!
Actually, I should change that last line- my clothes do seem looser, and it is working for me in that it has been the only type of exercise I have ever done where it is easy to be consistant at it... that is success right there!

I am a newcomer here, having been doing O! for about a week now, but combining oxycise breathing with my normal stretch routine was the first thing I thought of when I started doing this. The stretched I do are from the book, "Stretching" by Bob Anderson. The breathing really works well with those moves.

Do Oxycise! with any stretches or movements you like!

It also works great with "stirring dinner on the stove" positions and even "typing at the office" positions!

Some customers have said they even combine the breathing technique with physical therapy exercises following accidents or injury.

Happy Breathing!

Beth, funny you should ask about incorporating the Body Flex positions with O! Of course! I guess just starting out you may not have many videos, but many--if not most--of the BodyFlex positions are in Jill's program. Some are identical, some have very insignificant variation. The Back Leg Extension, the Seiko (one of my favorites for gluts--which I think Jill calls the side leg extension), the Diamond (fingertip press), the Rowboat, a variation of the Pretzel, the Hamstring Stretch, and the Cat.

I too started out with BodyFlex and in the first week developed constant heartburn and on/off hicupping for 3 solid days. I got scared! So I went with O! and have never had any problems (other than underestimating its power and imprudently knocking my back out once early on).

Tracey, good to hear about O!ing while walking! I just started doing it around my neighborhood and it embarrasses the fool out of my 12 year-old. "Mom! I can hear you clear down the street!" she laughs on her bike, b/c, quite frankly, walking at 130 heartbeats per minute and trying to O! can get a little noisy. At first I was wondering if I might "hurt" myself or wind up fainting (which I've never done) or getting dizzy, and then thought, "Wait. I get my heartrate up to that sometimes just Oxycising alone!" So I don't worry now. I just walk and take deep Oxy breaths instead of allowing myself to do a quick, "pant-like" breathing which is typical.
