I've had incredible success with Oxycise, steadily dropping from a post partum 219 in August 2002 to 145 by September 2003. But I was having big problems with my period, so my doctor installed a Mirena IUD. I immediately gained 20 pounds even though I was still Oxycising daily and eating carefully. After a month or two of being stuck at 165, I switched to more difficult workouts thinking I'd lose the weight if I worked harder, but instead I climbed to 175!
I'm back on daily Oxycise now plus a resonable diet (cutting fatty food servings in half while increasing fresh fruits and veggies), and am hovering at about 165, but I am so frustrated to have been that close to my goals only to give up all control to hormones. I'm guessing I need to do oxycise AND something... but I don't know what. Or is this one of those things that my body should get over with time if I don't give up? My only consolation is that my friends and family say they can't even tell I've gained weight (probably because the super-overweight me is still on their minds), but it's that or my pants are shrinking at an alarming rate. Any ideas?
I don't have any experience with this, but I tend to think that if you just keep on faithfully Oxycising and eating carefully that you will eventually start losing again. Aren't hormones such frustrating things sometimes??? I do understand your feelings!!! I hope you will hang in there and keep on breathing! Please keep us posted, too!

Thanks Susanna, I appreciate the support. The fact that I've lost so much is what keeps me going despite the frustration. I'll keep doing my oxycise and hope for change soon. Also since it's summer I'll add in a few more activities; maybe that will help. I've found that as long as I keep oxycise in the mix I do alright.
Hello Velda, Welcome to the "O" board & CONGRATULATIONS! on your losses so far.
I'm with Susanna on this. I don't have any experience with your problem either. But, hang in there, something has to give after awhile. Come join us on the Daily Support and Accountability thread. We all post there just about every day & tell what & how we are doing. We call it the D2L (determined to lose) thread. We would love to have you join us.

Hi Velda. Add me to the list of people with no experience in this area. But I hope you can find the answer soon. I'm 100 pounds overweight myself and am right now trying to lose the 30 pounds I lost and found last year, plus 10 more that snuck in there uninvited. But last year I didn't have O, so I'm hoping this time the loss will be permanent.
My one thought is that perhaps if you O more than once a day a few times a week it might help you to lose and not just maintain. And, in the meantime, if you're like me, Oing makes me feel good so it's worth keeping up even if I'm not losing as fast as I want.
Good luck!!
