Will Oxycise help in this department? After 4 normal births, my bladder has a mind of its own and I can't seem to get it under control, no matter how many Kegels I do. It's lack of muscle tone, I know, because I've discussed it with a doctor. But as to how to redevelop those muscles, I am clueless. Someone out there must have experience with this!

Thank you!

Hello,

I have the same problem. I'm 45 years old, and have never had children. I asked my sister who is 49 years old with 4 kids if that happens to her, and she said it didn't. When I sneeze, cough, and laugh, I have a leak. I don't wear pantyliners anymore. I wear regular lite pads. Is there help for people like us?

Thanks.

I read somewhere that 15 minutes daily of bouncing on a mini-trampoline will strengthen those muscles. I have a hip problem that keeps this from being possible, but I share your problem and all that goes with it! Also, in the Capper's paper, there is often an herbal remedy that is advertised. If I see the ad again, I'll let you know. Smile

Here in France you get 15 free sessions with a physiacal therapist after childbirth to strengthen those muscles. It is VERY important to pull up on those muscles whenever you do ANY abdominal strengthening. When you flex the abs, the natural reaction is that the perineum muscles descend. That is why some very athletic women have problems leaking because they have so worked the abs. Be sure you are pulling up when you are O!ing and do the kegels correctly. You can do lots of them & have no results if you're not doing them right.

Funny that someone said jumping on a mini-trampoline will strengthen bladder muscles--jumping on a mini-trampoline also drains the lymphatic system (so does Oxycise!).

Not that it's related, but I have a friend who kept having bladder infections and noticed that when she gave up NutraSweet, her infections went away. She wondered if there could be a connection, so she did a little self-test and went back on NutraSweet. The bladder infections returned and went away again when she gave up NutraSweet again(this time for good!) She hasn't had bladder infections since.

Well, now that you mention it. I haven't really peed my pants from laughing or coughing really hard lately. Wink I think it does help. After having to BIG baby boys I was never the same, but it seems to be getting a little better. Of course if I just drank a ton of water and someone tickles me...beware! Big Grin

Hi,

Before I started doing oxycise, I had the same problem, not to such an extent as you. I drink mostly water now and this helps, too. Caffeinated drinks makes this problem worse. I only have 1 small cup of coffee in the morning. The rest of the day I drink water.
