I've been doing oxycise for 3 weeks, and have not noticed any change. I believe that it can work, and I want it to work for me.

I followed the Basic Breath directions, and don't really know what I'm doing wrong. Confused
Any suggestions?

Hi! Don't get discouraged at this point. Some people are just "slow losers". You might want to e-mail Julie@oxycise.com (I think that's the right e-mail address....) and ask her for some breathing tips. She can e-mail them to you and they really help.
Feel free to join us in the D2L (determined to lose) thread each day for encouragement and accountability.

Don't be discouraged, and please don't give up.
Sometimes it takes our bodies several weeks before we can SEE obvious changes.

Even the fitness director of the Bally Total Fitness health chain, has said that people need to realize that our bodies work "on a monthly basis." She says that people will tend to see results every 4 or 5 weeks.

The longer you do Oxycise! the more effective your breathing will be. And you will probably be able to work your muscles more and more. At first it's kind of awkward to put the breathing and body positions together. But with practice everything starts to feel like second nature.

Be sure to RELAX your tummy when you inhale. If your abs are tight, you won't be able to get much air in. So let your abdominal area expand as needed during the inhale... THEN Lift, scoop, and tighten during the rest of the steps.

Write if you have additional questions! We also have some new "tips for success" that you can access from the Home Page.

Happy Breathing Smile

I am a slow loser! Frown I have just gotten back to doing O again. It's been about a month for me and I've only lost 1 3/4 inches and haven't really lost any weight (I gained 3 lbs last week, but lost it this week) Roll Eyes I do know that this program does work! I was kinda discouraged last week, but since I lost the added 3 lbs I feel better. My muscles do feel stronger, my back doesn't hurt as much & I have more energy, so I can't complain too much! I do hope to see more of a change in inches and weight soon, so I'm planning on hanging in there for the long haul! Big Grin

Joyful One,
It's like I told a friend recently (who's yet to start this program): You can breathe your socks off and eat them right back on! Most people don't realize how much food has to do with their entire physical/emotional/nervous/mental system. It's easy to think, Well if Oxycise works, then why won't it work if I don't change any of my eating habits? Because Oxycise is only part of the puzzle. Sugars and starches are among the main culprits in affecting and manipulating our metabolic and hormonal system! You will likely find your body cooperating more with this breathing program if you'll alter the amount of these foods that you eat(wheat is the big culprit for me! Six years ago, you couldn't have told me any of this stuff--today, I've seen its effects in my own body) and DRINK LOTS OF GOOD, PURIFIED WATER!!!

What I've noticed about Oxycise is: if I observe good eating habits and forego the starches (wheat goodies, pastries, cakes, crackers, breads, etc.) and high-fat foods, I lose the inches much quicker. When I got back into Oxy several months ago, I noticed that even a moderate amount of "cheating" tends to hinder this program from working as quickly. (It makes sense that the body is trying to rid toxins through breathing, and I'm putting them right back in by eating unscrupulously.) Hope this helps.

Katherine
