I just bought Dr.Phil's cookbook and wondered if anyone else was using it too? The chicken fried steak sounds amazing and the beef tenderloin sounds gorgeous!

What have you tried? I will post in here as I try things this week and we can swap opinions on the recipies. Have fun with it, it is a great book as all the food is measured out for us and 'safe'!

Cheerio,
Nancy

Well we have a new family favorite - dijon/rosemary/ mashed potatoes! I served them with pickerel which is a firm white fish, and broiled tomaotes with a green salad.

Tonight we are trying the Sherpard's Pie so I will let you know how that is.
This weekend I am making the granola without all the fat and sugar and salt. Sounds good doesn't it?

Cheers!

Namaste,
Nancy

Oh man - I can't have potatoes. It spikes the insulin way worse than even table sugar. But I can smell it from here!

Penelope ~ I only have one serving of potatoes once a week for that same reason and these dijon mashed make that experience a highlight of my week!

Don't you have Crohns? Was it you? How do you eat potatoes with Crohns (if it was you who has it)? I mean potatoes rips my stomach up (aside from diabetes).

Penelope it indeed is me who has Chron's. My disease is not active in the sense of uncontrollable diarrhea now so I can eat about anything, I only eat 1/3 cup of potatoes twice a month tho, max. Potatoes never bothered my gut but onions and caffeine and 100 other things rip me up something awful.

I am sorry you have so much trouble with food and your gut too, it is a difficult way to live.
