This will be so much easier when I have my dvd's. Julie's breathing tips say to lift and tighten your abdomen after the inhale as you do the 3 extra snifs and then "scoop" with your lower abdominal muscles (tilt the pelvis). I find myself doing these two at the same time. Do the dvd's/videos train you to do them in the right order or does it really not matter? I've been at this for about a week and as I said yesterday did lose 1 1/2 inches so far. This morning I got on the scale as I do every day and finally droped 1.2 lbs after remaining steady all week. I'm THRILLED!

I'm new at this, so I'm no authority, but it is my understanding that all that is happening at the same time. I believe you're doing it right.
In the video, Jill is constantly reminding you to keep the pelvic tilt. During the 3 extra inhale sniffs, she reminds you to scoop up the abs (suck them in as if putting on a pair of jeans). |
