Hi! My name is Pam. I'm new to the board, but not to O. I've been doing O since November & have lost 40 lbs. & 11 inches from my waist! I'm really thrilled with O. I've recently read that the deep breathing of Yoga can burn as much as 530 calories per hour, which is equivalent to an hour of running! That is just soo amazing to me! I think Oxycise must be very similar, right?! I know it really works for me! I'm still doing the level 1 & 2 workouts, but I also do YogaPilates, Aerobics & Toning.
Hope to be able to connect with you all! I've read alot of your posts, which all sounded like you are having the same success that I've experienced! Doesn't it feel incredible?! Keep up the great work everybody! I still have 25 more lbs. to lose ~ but I know I can do it with this program! And I know you all can too!!

Thanks for the welcome! I'm interested in the pals thread, but I'm not to great on the computer yet ~ so it may take me a while to figure out how to get there. But ~ I'll try! Do you guys do other exercises along with Oxycise? I sometimes do O before aerobics ~ so I'm REALLY burning the fat! I have also been limiting my fat & sugar intake & following the Slimfast Plan. And even though it's terribly hard ~ I try to drink 8 glasses of water a day. But, with this COLD weather that can be tortureous!!

Thanks again for the warm welcome!!

Pam...I do Water Aerobics 3X a week. The reason I turned to something like O! was because I'm overweight (need to lose about 50-70 pounds) and have a bone spur in my foot along with plantar fasciitis, so I'm kind of limited to what I can do that doesn't bother my foot or my knees (from an old car accident) and my physical therapist recommended the water aerobics and I found O! while searching the internet one day. I read all the success stories (there are tons of them!) and looked up other info on the subject and decided to give it a try. I'm really loving it so far (I've only been at it and the AquaFit classes for about a week and a half)...and hope to have good results. I need to work on my sugar intake, but I'm sure that will come soon enough!

Hi Pam:
Welcome. I am new to Board also, but not to O!
It really does work, you just have be paitent, like any exercise it takes 6 weeks to be really noticable.
You take vitamins and Flax oil, since you sound like you are limitings sugar, carbs and fats too. I just lost 40 pounds and working to STAY at my goal.

I too had problems with my feet (very painful) & shins. That's why I started with O. Slowly, as the weight started coming off ~ I started to do some toning to strengthen my shins. Now that I'm (-)40 lbs. my feet don't bother me soo much. Aquatics is a great way to go easy on those problem areas! Good job finding something that works for you!! I tried Aquatics & liked it alot! But, I am kind of a "stay at home & do tapes" kind of gal. I also bought some really good shoe inserts for my feet & they made all the difference! If I don't wear them ~ instant pain! I hope you can find some relief with your feet! That can certainly be distracting.

Yes I do take vitamins! And I feel soo much better now that I do! I wasn't taking them until about 3 weeks ago. I can really feel the difference!
Chocolate is my worst enemy as far as sugar goes.
I have actually been counceling to help me understand & control my binges. It's helped alot. I figure ~ there's a reason that I gained this much weight & if I don't fix the problem I have with emotional binging, then no matter how much I lose I'm likely to gain it all back. I've done it before.
So ~ just like Oxycise works from the inside out ~ I'm tackeling my Choco-holism from the inside out (mentally).

Does anyone besides me, feel like their weight gain was a result of emotional binging or addictive behavior, (CHOCOLATE)?
