I just bought the First magazine last night. I am 302lbs. Do you think that if I just do the breathing exercise that is in the First magazine that I will still lose weight. I can't afford to order the program but I really NEED to start losing weight. I am so unhappy with myself that I get really depressed. I have 2 boys, 2yr old and a 9 month old and I want to be able to keep up with and do more physical activities with my 2yr old. TIA

Hi - I, too, just recently read the article. I know it's cliche, but "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Anything you do to achieve your goals, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, is a very big step in the right direction. Be pro-active - try the excercises as outlined in the magazine and see what happens. It can't hurt. You are worthy of every good thing. Good luck to you. You will find a way.

Hi ladies! Good to see your posts. I haven't actually seen the magazine article, so I really don't know how detailed the exercises shown there are. I agree, though....it certainly can't hurt to start out using them and see what happens!

Good luck and feel free to post with us in the D2L (determined to lose) thread each day. It's a great place to get lots of encouragement and support.

I started with the magazine also. Then someone suggested I look under Newsletters and Annoncements. There is a post from Julie called Breathing Tips. That goes into much more depth than the article. I did place an order but am having to wait due to back order. In the meantime I'm following Julie's tips and do it in my car to and from work. I've been doing it for almost a week and I feel better. I worked a 12 hour day today and am not the least bit tired. It also seems as if my jeans aren't quite as tight. Now if I can just get the eating under control. Last few days have been bad.

Look for those tips and give it a try.

Hey guys -

I saw the article and it made me smile! I always love seeing breathing articles in magazines.

I was surprised at how simplified the breathing was for the article, it didn't include the sniffs! I guess Jill figured that the sniffs are good but just doing the foundation is good too. It made me dig out my O! book and I'll dust off my tapes as well.

Happy breathing everyone, this works if you work it!

Thank you all for your help. I looked up the breathing tips in the Newletters and Announcements. Thanks for bringing it to the top Kelly. I took a soak in the tub last night and did the techniques from the magazine. Going to read over the tips again and try what is in them. Thank again

Hi mthrof2bysnga,

Thanks for posting your question.

I believe that it will work for you no problem. I met Debbie Stancil, who appears in the Smiles of Success stories, http://www.oxycise.com/Success/smiles01.htm#Debbie. Debbie started Oxycise! at 356 pounds; and Janie Thomas http://www.oxycise.com/Success/smiles02.htm#Janie, who started Oxycise! at 305-315 pounds and lost 175 pounds! You may also want to see Lyn Danson-Smith http://www.oxycise.com/Success/smiles04.htm#Lyn.

These are just a few examples of what Oxycise! can do for you and many others. I know that it works--my success story is on Page 2, http://www.oxycise.com/Success/smiles02.htm#Susan.

Good luck to you--believe it, do it with consistency and gusto, read the breathing techniques mentioned, and you will see results! I hope you will check in with the O!Pals D2L thread under the Support and Daily Accountability section of the board as you begin your Oxycise! routine.

I am new to oxycise and I bought the Easy Does Level 1 that has the VHS tape that shows the correct way to do the breathing and also has 2nd tape that has the exercises. I bought these off of Amazon.com after reading the article in First. I only paid around $18.00 as I did not want to waste too much money if they didn't work. Today was day 3 and I have noticed having extra energy,,so I am excited to see what the following weeks have in store for me.

Welcome from me, too, Magnolia! The ONLY way that buying Oxycise material is a waste of money is if you don't use it! You must be consistent to see results, but you'll feel so good anyway, that it helps you keep it up.
Best wishes!!!

HI
I have not been on for a while, our computer was down. I was doing Oxycise faithfully for several months and lost 36 in. well, we moved and got busy and I only have been doing it about 1x every two weeks. The article in First ( which I have never bought just bought this time cause of the Oxycise article) really encouraged me to get back on the wagon ( so to speak) I have been eating good and walking but I really miss my O! So I had my husband hook up the vcr and I did it tonight! boy I feel good!

SmileMichele welcome back. I'm so happy you're here.

I didn't know about the magazine either until everyone here started talking about it. It must be new or I just don't pay attention.

Anyway welcome everybody and I hope you enjoy O! as much as the rest of us do.

Hi, I am new to the site and would like to start the program. I am a little leary though because I tried bodyflex and thought it was really not working for me and very uncomfortable to do.
I saw in this post that if you go to newsletter area I can get more info on the program. Can you tell me how to get to that area? Thanks!

Patti you're in the General Oxycise Discussions. If you back out of here you'll see the next board is the Newsletter and Announcements board. If you scroll down even further you will see Questions for Julie and Jill. Sometime our regular posters will pop in and answer questions too.

Come and join us on D2L (determined to lose) and ask your questions. We'll answer you there too.
