Hi, I just became a member. I'm 59 and my best friend told me about Oxycise. She asked me to pick up the tape and preview it since I'm an exercise instructor for seniors. I have inches and pounds to lose like everyone else. I'm 160 and 5ft 4 inches. I am fascinated with this technique and will be doing it daily. I'm keeping a chart with my measurements. Some of the members have lost a lot of inches and lbs in a short time. I'm anxious to see if I get results quickly.

Hey Kathy, welcome! I am 49 and I just love the Oxycise! program. I combine it with the South Beach Diet way of eating since I have bad Chron's disease and that helps me stay a stable course.

This is wonderful for seniors, are you teaching it to your classes or just using it for yourself right now? I wish I had had this way of breathing etc in my childbirthing days. I used my yoga breathing and it was good but this would have been better.
For Mom's who can't for some reason exercise the tradional way this would be really beneficial for so many reasons.
Ofcourse once people discover this they stick with it and ditch all the pounding & sweating!

Welcome to the site Kathy and we all look forward to getting to know you!

Cheers,
Nancy

Hi Kathy,

Since I found Oxycise, I've often thought about teaching it to older folks. I think it's a wonderful way for anyone to become more healthy.

I am 48, and I've lost 68 pounds in one year doing Oxycise once a day, 5 or 6 days per week. I hope you have wonderful results!

Susanna how wonderful! ~ all your hard work paid off!

This is my first 2 weeks of combining Oxycise! and doing the South Beach way of eating and I have lost all my bloat and feel great! My dog is also briskly walking me about 30 min a day so I am sleeping about 10 solid hrs a night!

I have put everything on hold except taking care of me and my family and to some extent my house. I do some painting but that is extra right now, meals come first with my exercise.

I am 220 and need to be 155 so hopefully I can get about 30 lbs off by spring. We are going back to England and doing a lot of hiking so I Have to be fit!
I am almost 5'8" so Oxycise! seems to slim me down proportionally as does the walking.

I am looking forward to being a whole new me!
Susanna, were you on WW or something while you slimmed down?

Cheers,
Nancy

Nancy,

I use the Change One plan from the Jan. 2003 issue of Reader's Digest. It worked great for me!

I think South Beach is good too, though, but I haven't tried it.

Good luck!

Good morning all. Since I'm new at this I have
some questions. Jill says do the breathing
30 reps daily. I do more then that in my car. How
often should I do Level 1, daily?
I plan to teach this to seniors in our community
this fall. So I'm trying to learn all I can.
I know there will be questions. This area does
not have Oxycise and it will be exciting to
introduce it. Thanks for responding to me. I use
the South Beach Diet and love it. I have irritable bowel and diverticulosis. Exercise and
healthy eating keeps me feeling good.
Have you tried these exercises to relaxing music in the background?
Keep on breathing.

Hi Kathy,

Jill says you must do a workout at least 5 days per week to have results. That's proven true for me. Of course, there are some who do several more than that per week.

I have used music in the background. I like to do that! Since I just use the book anyway, and have the positions memorized, it works well to do it anywhere I choose. Oxycise has been a wonderful, life-altering experience for me! I feel like I've been liberated from being a crippled, fat mama bear to a slim, 10 years younger, happy mama! Big Grin I hope you have wonderful results, too!!!

Thanks to all for your encouragement and helpful suggestions. I love this program. I'm watching the
site to find out how to become Certified. I was told Jill is in the process of putting the training on the web site. What do you think of
my showing the videos at our senior center and
that way I could do it and also observe others
to see if their technique is right?

Hi Kathy,
I am not sure what to say about that altho I do have one thought. I would say getting like minded gals/guys together to learn from the video would be great! I would caution tho not to proclaim yourself an expert in the area perhaps for legal/insurance purposes.

I am interested in the formal training even if it is online, I would like to feel more comfortable before teaching it to others. Kathy I look forward to hearing about your progress and your plans - this sounds like a wonderful gift you are about to impart to others.

Namaste,
Nancy
