Does anybody have any idea on the average how many calories are burned in a single Oxycise session? (Let's use Level 1 as a general "given.") The workouts last about 18-20 minutes and I'm curious as to how much I'm burning during that time. Julie?

Good question, Katherine! You might try posting it to "Questions for Julie or Jill" as that is sometimes all she can read. I'd love to know the answer too!

I read a statement that our bodies use 123 calories to heat a gallon of cold water to body temp! So, besides helping to curb our appetites, and washing things out of our bodies, water helps us this way. I guess it IS really important to drink lots of water!

BalanceLog software lists a number of exercises showing the calories burned. The closest that I could find was "Stretching/yoga general, hatha." Doing that for 15 minutes = 54 calories burned.

I did find that Oxycise allows one to burn 140% more calories than regular, so some strength and training exercise sites suggested 15 minutes of that type of exercise burns about 90-100 calories. I'm wondering if O!ing would boost it up to maybe 120 or so? It seems the deep, aerobic breathing would have to account for a deal more in calories.

Well, whaddayaknow? I had posted this as a question to Julie/Jill per Laura D.'s suggestion, and they've answered it to the best of their ability on Questions for Julie/Jill. Thanks to all for your input.

I use diet power software to keep track of my daily intake of food and exercise and it figures my calories burned based on my age, gender, weight and my past history of weight loss compared to my past history of exercise and food intake. I log oxycise in as "light aerobics" and I'm 5'7" tall, female, and weigh 190 and it says for 18 minutes I burn 138 calories.
