Hi, all...

I have a question for you all. Need opinions...

Has anyone read "The Ultimate Weight Solution-7 Keys" and/or "The Ultimate Weight Solution Food Guide" by Dr. Phil McGraw? Confused I just ordered them both from Amazon. Got a good deal on them with free shipping. Couldn't pass it up.

I've been watching his show lately, and I know he's been doing the Weight Loss Challenge with groups of people. The people have been losing so much weight on it and seem so happy. I just want to learn more and change where I can, and was wondering if anyone has read it and has opinions on it. I really hope I haven't wasted my money. Confused

Thanks for your input, in advance. Smile

Hi Donna, I am not sure what the diet is exactly but, I feel that if Dr. Phil is doing it, it must have some grit to it. I really like his no nonsense approach to life. He doesn't accept excuses and he is good at challenging people. I feel that if that man was on me about something, I would definitely make an effort to change.

I don't know to what extent the people involved in the challenge are being monitored by Dr. Phil's people. It seems that if you are seeing results from ordinary people, there must be something said for the plan.

His diet seems to be like most healthy ones...small portions, low carbs and lots of exercise! I'd like to read his book for the emotional part of it...his 7 keys seem to really be what's helping all those people on his show!

I'm going to go buy it this weekend!

I got the book for Christmas, but I just barely got time to start reading it. You guys are right when it goes deep into the 7 keys, really makes you think!! Take control!

My sister got it this fall and she had lost 25 lbs within a couple of months after it, she was a bit rocky around the holidays, but is back on track now! Big Grin

Let's keep this conversation up as we go on reading it now that we're several of us with it! Smile

Thank you for your responses. I feel I made the right choice buying them now. Big Grin

I became a member on his website today, and I asked him about green tea. He recommends it to support metabolism and burn fat, if your body is weight-loss resistent. I guess it's been clinically proven to work. So, I asked him if you're supposed to drink the tea, or take supplements, when, how much, can you sweeten the tea or do you have to drink it straight, etc, etc. Confused

If I hear back from his staff, I'll let you all know. Hey, anything to help, right? Wink

Yes, we should keep the conversation going on this. I think his book is really going to give me the answers on WHY I eat so much when I'm bored or emotional. Frown Mad Roll Eyes Eek Red Face I guess there is a lot of homework to do in these books, which I love, because it gives me guided direction. I'm going to start journaling, too.

Take care...

Donna
