If you follow it and your a blood type "O", have you had good results with oxycise?. The reason I ask is that I'm an "O" and I'm one of those "slow" losers. Blood type "0's" need to do strenous exercise to get results and I wonder if that's why I don't get great results with oxycise. It may be why their seems to be more "slow losers" than fast, because most of the population are blood type "O's".

Just a thought.

Thanks Mickey!

Hi, Mickey ~

I'm type O (- if that matters) and I have had excellent results in the past with only doing O! and not following any diet whatsoever. smile I think that Blood Type diet is a joke; although I didn't try it myself, my mother did for sometime...she just couldn't bring herself to stick to it. roll eyes

Personally speaking, I agree with Jill when she says that DIETS don't work. Unless you change your way of eating for the rest of your life, eventually a diet will rebound on you. I've never dieted and don't intend to. O! does the trick!! big grin

Take care everyone, and KEEP BREATHIN'!

Mickey,

I am a type O and I am a slow loser also. Never did associate the two though. That might be why I feel better when I have exercised for an hour.

I'm type O, too, and a slow loser. I've read some of the blood type diet book, but never really went for it as far as weight loss goes. But my Mom claims it helped her get over some condition that was plaguing her.

I do find that more rigorous exercise seems to fit me, like weighlifting.

Sorry, but after reading that ? thought the Blood Type Diet was a joke (no offense wink) I had to write. I know of over ten people who did the diet and had immediate and great results with it. As with anything, virtually all went off sooner or later, b/c it's so hard to stick too (when your favorite health foods are custard donuts and Breyer's ice cream!)

I am not a dieter and don't believe in dieting (to simply lose weight), but I do believe in maintaining a smart diet (eating plan) for life. (President of the Hipocrite's Club here, 'cause it's easier said than done!)

I originally went on the O diet for health. It's not meant to help you lose weight, but is intended for a life-long eating change. I gave up every form of wheat, corn, dairy, and sugar (my staple diet!!!) and potatoes (the air I [used] to breathe!). Within 9 days, I lost 5 lbs. (didn't need to lose much), 3/4 in. in my hips, and 1/2 in. in my waist with absolutely NO exercise (before I found out about Oxycise). The fat on my thighs literally started to "melt." Virtually all my arthritis symptoms disappeared (I know this sounds retarded and impossible to believe, but it's the absolute truth.)

About 10 mos. before that, I had a persistent fem. yeast infection that I could not get rid of and didn't want to go to the doctor. So I hit up the library and read "The Yeast Connection" . It is so close to the O diet that it isn't funny--and when I went on that "diet" to help eliminate my problem--it did! and I've never had it since.

Yes, food has tremendous impact on our health. (Even Jill wrote Fuel for Success suggesting such.)

The Blood Type Diet is not a cure all--everything in moderation, but I've proved that "diet" several times over in my own body. One thing I did find out, Mickey, and that was this: if I go on the O diet and "cheat" even a little (I'm talking even one piece of bread a day), it's like not being on it at all (haven't figured that out yet except that the wheat is said to mess with our thyroid more than anything besides corn).

Personally, I think the O'ing is "strenuous" enough, b/c Dr. D'Adamo only has his piece of the puzzle--he probably doesn't know about Jill's piece! Give it time--all things in due season. smile

I might add, that the times I've strictly observed the O diet (Blood Type Diet), though I gave up all corn, dairy, wheat, and sugar--I was liberally enjoying any allowable form of protein (with a few additions along the way wink): handsful of almonds, (supposedly "fattening") pecans, bacon and eggs for breakfast, all the chicken/("fattening") rib-eye steak I wanted, sunflower seeds galore---and watched the fat literally "melting" from my thighs, waist, and hips (with no exercise!).

I never counted one calorie or fat gram. I just ate lots of protein and vegetables and some fruits (and enjoyed occasional pieces of spelt or rice bread as opposed to wheat).

It was fascinating to observe.

Live like there's no tomorrow
Eat like no one's watching
And Breathe like you're on a respirator!
