A while back and a few message boards back there was a discussion on whether the "smile" might cause wrinkles. I was wondering if anyone has noticed the onset of wrinkles or worsening of wrinkles from doing the "smile"?. I don't have any wrinkles and don't want to cause them unnecessarily. Does anyone do oxycise without the "smile" and still have the same results?.

Thanks!
Mickey

Hi Mickey, I have caught myself not smiling and the only change I really see is that I am not getting nearly as much oxygen in. I don't have wrinkles but, I am wondering if that is because they are currently filled out by fat. That's the excuse my Mom uses for looking so young at 65. You may also want to consider using a good mosturizer if you worry about it. It is important to get as much oxygen in as possible.

I have not gotten any wrinkles because of the smiling during a workout. (Maybe from these kids but not O'ing, lol)

I have been doing "O" for 5 years & I DO have more wrinkles there. I have a slender face anyway.
Now I've learned to keep my face straighter without sacrificing my breathing. It's kinda tricky but it can be done. There's no way I'll give up my Oxycise routine, I'll just modify the facial movement.

Welcome to the board! I hope you'll post often and share your experience with Oxycise with us! I also noticed that I was looking more "lined" around the mouth, so I consulted Julie about it. She told me to try blowing down like playing a trumpet, and with a little practice in front of a mirror, it wasn't so hard to figure out. The lines aren't as pronounced now, so I'm glad.

Hope to hear more from you!

Wow! Five years of Oxycising! That's great....I hope I can stick with it that long. It's been over 2-1/2 years for me...so I guess I'm half way there!

Welcome to the board. I hope you'll post often.
