I'm new and have been using this technique for about 3 weeks, but I am not seeing any results. I'm a little discouraged because I read about all of the results people are seeing but I don't see any. I am wondering if I am doing the breathing technique correctly. I need help.

Hello Breathless,
Please don't be discouraged!!! You may need to read the breathing tips section of this board, and see if you are doing it correctly. You may also need to make some changes in your eating habits. I'll confess that in 2002 I received my Oxycise book and tape, and I tried it for a little bit and didn't have any results. Then, in Jan. 2003, Reader's Digest published a new eating plan that they called Change One. They outlined it in that issue of their magazine, and it sounded doable to me, so I tried it. When I faithfully did O and used the guidelines from Change One, I lost 68 pounds in one year. For MOST people, it takes both, doing exercises consistently, and adjusting calorie intake. Please do read those tips. They're under "Newsletters and Announcements" at the top of the board, and are very helpful. Good luck! Susanna Failure is not an option, so choose something else. |

Hi Breathless,
I am happy to hear that you have started the Oxycise! program. Please don't get discouraged or compare yourself to any specific success story. Every body is different! I have heard from many Oxycise! users who all have different results in different amounts of time. The number one key to great results is to breath with gusto! Really bring the oxygen in and exhale with resistance. Remember that you are making changes from the inside out. You may notice that you lose inches before pounds. Or you may even see the scale go up at first because you are gaining muscle which weighs more than fat. But don't worry, the scale will start heading in the right direction soon! Many find in the beginning that they have increased energy, more stable moods, they sleep better, etc. - these are all signs that you are doing the right thing. Please check out my reply to Lisu who had a similar question, the post is under Questions for Kirstine and Jill (link below): http://forum.oxycise.com/eve/f...=813108132#813108132 If you stick with it, I know you will reach your weight loss goals! Keep on breathin'! Kirstine Oxycise! Staff |

Just a thought Breathless - how are you measuring your progress? With tape or on the scales. I lost inches with oxycise, but my wight did not change.
Also, I had friends who made progres with Ox and then it stopped. With all three of them, when I checked their breathing they had lost the original Ox breath. One was relaxing on the out breath, another was tucking before the first in breath and so on. The breath is the key. Watch the step-by-step demonstration of the breath closely and make sure you have it right. And hang in there! Tiratu |
