Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone has had success just using the audio tape for the car. Our VCR just died and I don't know when we'll be getting a new one, so that's it for the videos! (and I only got them this past month!) I do have the opportunity to do two workouts in the car, five to six days a week. Has anyone had success in this situation?

Thanks, take care,

Margaret

Hi Margaret-

I really only use the "commuter routine" when I'm not up to doing a "regular" workout. For me, it's a great way to get in my breaths and to do a bit of flexing. I'm pregnant, so have found it to be a nice "substitute" for the tapes at times.

I think that it can be a useful temporary solution until your VCR gets fixed, but I wouldn't use it as a full fledged permanent replacement for the tapes.

Why don't you try doing some of the levels on your own, and use the position card that came in the boxes as your guide? I've done that...put on the TV or radio and try it that way. As long as you know the positions and basic breath, you can do it anytime, anywhere!

Good Luck-
Love

Actually, that's a great suggestion Helene. I do my "own" routines all the time picking and choosing the positions I want from the tapes I have.

I also do some of my own routines. Mix & match from all of the tapes. The position cards that came with the tapes are a great reminder of the positions.

I use the commuter tapes alot too. I like to get to work early and do them in the parking lot before work though. My commute is like being in the Indy 500, so I can only do reps at stop lights. I need ALL of my wits about me to navigate traffic. roll eyes

Kelly! There you are! I was just asking on the daily O pals thread about our "regulars" from the old board! Nice to see you..How are Kathie, Merrit and Lois doing?

Alicia, I like the idea of mixing and matching! I may try that one day.

I have been doing ABS & UPPER BODY for 3 weeks now, however, I supplement this with the communter routine about 5 days a week. I have seen more results from video than from communter routine in just 3 weeks, but I use the commuter to "relax" on the return trip home from work...
feel like I am not wasting time.
Anyone see benefits of doing more than once a day?
