Hello everyone,

I've been reading that workouts are taking about 15 minutes. Does that mean that these folks are completing 120 Oxy-breaths in 15 minutes?

It takes me about 1 minute to complete 4 breaths which equal 1 rep. Am I going too slow? I'm really giving it my all when doing the sniffs after inhaling and the puffs after exhaling.

I'm not sure I can keep up that intensity for a full 30 minutes in order to complete 30 reps.

I haven't even factored in any exercises.

Your thoughts.

Rich,

For some reason the breaths seem to go faster when doing the videos with the exercises incorporated with it. You don't have to do the entire workout at one time either. If you need to break it up to complete it during several sessions of the day that is fine.

While practing your breaths do them in certain increments. Then rest a while, do some other things and then do some more. I used to do 1/3 of my workout in the shower in the mornings and that always helped to get me going in the morning too. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Lin. I can see where I'll have to break things up into segments throughout the day. Yesterday I got some reps in while at the movies.

In my opinion, The Incredible Hulk was....uhhhhhh, incredible! KOB.

Hi Rich,
I apologize for the delayed response to your question.

It is absolutely fine if it is taking you longer to complete the basic breath right now. It is also a great idea to practice the breathing by itself before you add in the different positions. The most important thing is to make sure you are doing the breathing technique correctly and with a lot of intensity or gusto. If you are unable to keep up the intensity, feel free to break up the workout as Lin suggested.

Be sure to review the Introduction to Basic Breath and Technique video or DVD before beginning the workout.

I'm sure you have mastered the Oxycise! Basic Breath by now! But, if you still have any questions about the breathing technique, please feel free to email kirstine@oxycise.com.

Good luck to you!

Hi, Kristine.

That's o.k. I know you're busy. I am continually working on my breathing technique. I find that the commuter tape is an excellent example of how the breathing should be done.

I make sure I get plenty of extra breaths in during the day. Thanks again.
