Big Grin Can I lose weight with the 15 min. Commuter Routine Alone?

Hi All,

I will admit, I am lazy when it comes to exercise. I've purchased the 15 min. Commuter Routine and use it while on the internet and on the way to work.

I have a big belly, mainly due to poor digestion (I think) Is it possible to see weight loss results, with just the commuter routine? I also plan to use it during the day while sitting at my desk.

Hi Paula,

Welcome to the message board (and to Oxycise!)!

It's mainly about the breathing, so you should get some results just using the commuter. Keep us posted on your progress. Join us in the D2L (determined to lose) thread each day. It's a great place for support and accountability!

HI Paula, Kelly is right. It's mainly about the breathing and getting in as much oxygen as you can. Personally, I don't like the commuter workout and gave the cd to a fellow oxyciser. I'm the type who does like to work out. BUT-I will give you some advice and facts here to help you out. I work in the healthcare field as a pharmacy tech and know alot about anatomy and psysiology.
1.Whenever you put a stress or a stretch or tighten an area of your body, your brain is signaled to immediatly send blood to that area to help out the situation. B/C your brain can't tell the difference between a workout and an injury. THat's why when you bump into a table you get a bruise, blood flows to that area. So, if you are really doing the breath with GUSTO and tightening up those areas you to lose from and firm up, then that blood that flows to that area is going to be infused with a large amount of oxygen-which we all know by now is the key ingrediant to burning fat.
2.You say you have a big belly that you think is due to digestion. Well, to get personal here, I used to abuse laxatives in hopes of losing weight and there was a time that I was really borderline anorexic/bulemic. O has changes all of that for me. If you do in fact have digestive problems and don't feel like doing the actual positions in the workout. Take this advise. Do your commuter workout, but make sure to suck in your stomach and tighten any areas you want to firm up. IN ADDITION. I SUGGEST in the morning before work or even after or both (I do O 2x a day) at least do the main standing position where you really get to suck in your tummy and tighten your thigh and buns. WHY? B/C When you're doing the abdominal lift in conjuction with the breathing your stomach is getting sucked up and basically what's happening is that all your internal organs(stomach, intestines) are getting a massage while your sucking in your stomach. When you tuck and lift, the organs should feel like they're being sucked up under your ribs. This "massage" really helps to aid with digestive problems and issues.
(Personal Note) WHen I stopped taking the laxatives and eating right I did have some digestive problems(constipation, cramping, etc.) but by doing the O workout, those symptoms completly vanished and helped make me regular again. I haven't had any stomach issues in over 6 months. SO, give it a try. In the words of so many weight guru's "You have nothing to lose, but the weight!" LOL. I really hope this has helped you. Let me know how things are going and if my advice did help out your digestive issues(and inch loss). Good luck and keep on breathin'!
