Question:
Hello, everyone--

I would like to hear about others' experiences with plateaus. I started Oxycise four weeks ago, got great results the first two weeks, then nothing changed (except for gaining a couple of pounds back) the next two weeks. Thank goodness my measurements didn't start increasing, anyway.

Is this typical? Is my body simply adjusting to changes and more weight/inches lost down the road? I have even increased to twice a day some days, but it seems to be to no avail. Do I need to be more patient? Thanks for your input.

Hi P.A.!
Yes....I think you need to give it more time. It does take our bodies awhile to adjust to anything new. Also, there are natural ups and downs that occur throughout the month in our bodies. I lost 44 pounds in my first year of Oxycise. During that year I experienced times when I would show no changes. In the past year I've gained back 14 of those pounds, but that's only because I've let my eating habits creep out of control. Also, I've added other exercise that I know has increases muscle mass (therefore extra weight).

Hang in there and let your body have more time to get use to your new routine.

I agree. There is no miracle cure for fat (unfortunately. Or Ida found it by nowWink
Some of us have had all our lives to put all this weight on (yours truly on the top of the list). It is totally normal to need time to take it off & thus the ups & downs. I believe that I basically need to relearn to eat. Frown Not fun but something has put this fat on me & I think it must be food!!

Do not despair. It takes perseverance for anything worthwhile.

Thanks for the input, Kelly & Shelby--It is good to hear from people who have been doing it awhile and losing a fair amount of weight despite the ups and downs. The day after writing my question I noticed a slight reduction in measurements and other subtle differences that reinforced the idea that positive change is still happening even if it's not obvious. From reading the other posts I can see that plateaus seem to be common. Also, that it is better to keep doing Oxycise through the plateaus to bring on more change down the road. Also, to be more patient and more into the process of slowly achieving small goals!
