I have kept to my New Year's resolution to Oxycise every morning before going to work.
It's a wonderful feeling and I do notice that even though my body doesn't seem to be changing, my energy level is better. (I am hypothyroid and constantly struggle with fatigue!)
The other thing I'm noticing now is how hungry I am. I could eat 24 hours a day now. (While food has always been a challenge for me, I don't recall ever feeling this ravenous)
Is this normal and will it go away??

Hi Bookwryter! Welcome to Oxycise!

I'm usually pretty hungry after I Oxycise, too. That's one of the reasons I do mine in the morning before I eat breakfast. It gives me the right energy boost for the day and allows me to eat right afterward.

I've also noticed I'm a lot hungrier as my TOM approaches. I just have to use will-power and not let myself go crazy!

Come join us in the D2L (determined to lose) O!Pals thead each day. You'll find lots of encouragement and support there.

Welcome from me too. I also have a problem with increased appetite if I do O first thing in the morning. I wait until mid afternoon, or evening and then it doesn't bother me like that. I had to change my eating habits to be able to lose, but I didn't make drastic changes. I use the ChangeOne plan from Reader's Digest, and it's worked very well for me. Good luck!

Jill's advice is to "Listen" to your body. If it's REALLY hungry (not bored or stressed or something else) then her advice is "FEED it!"

The trick is learning to distinguish between real hunger pangs and psychological hunger (stress or boredom... "emotional eating")

When you feel ravenous, you might try drinking a big glass of water first... Jill has said that sometimes we mistake thirst for hunger. If you still feel hungry after that, then go ahead and eat something healthy.

Jill suggests fresh fruit or veggies, or other "good carbs."
