I mean I am 16, 5'3, 154 punds(very heavy for my height and age) and recently I did a test in health and most of my outcomes were undesirable. And now I would liek to get back onto the O! but I mean What are some things I can do to help? I really need info about this because I am in a rush to lose some weight and gain muscles because at my age being this heavy I may not make it into my later years when my metabilism slows down, and see its not liek I dont eat healthy I do. I mean I ussually never touch junk anymore( i mean not every 1 1/2-2 weeks and thats somethign like maybe a cookie) I mean I keep up the pyrimid of food and keep everything balanced but see you knwo highschool food you dont know what coule be in it so i either eat a subway or a salad with soem meat and milk on the side now what am i doing wrong?

Hi Patrick! Welcome to the Oxycise board. Good for you for eating right and getting back to your Oxycise. I think the best thing you could do right now is just do your Oxycise on a regular basis. If your friends noticed a change after just a few days, imagine how much change they might see after a few months! Do your Oxycise consistently and I'll be you'll see that you're toning up and losing inches/pounds in no time.

Well, I can tell you that Oxycise works for me. I used to O about everyday sometimes twice a day and I lost so many inches and some pounds...I got lots of comments. Of course life got in the way and I stopped. I just started back on the wagon of doing L1 at least once every day 9 days ago and Im already noticing a difference in my pants. There not super loose yet, but they are much more comfortable than they were only a week ago. When I sit, my stomach doesn't hurt...if ya know what I mean. LOL Stick with it, and you will see inch loss results. Try and not skip any days...I know some people say they do it 5 or 6 times a week, but if I don't do it every day then I easily slip into not doing it at all. Good Luck- Wendy 197/168/140 |

I would agree with these ladies here, I think the main thing is dont over think it, dont get anxious about it, just learn to make it a small daily habit and let nature take over with it. Sometimes we just plain over think things instead of just doing them. Do the best you can on learning the breathing, and just try to do it daily. I read once and I tell my dance students this, if you can do something daily for 3 weeks straight, it will become almost a automatic habit for more people. So just make a goal of building the actual habit.

Thank you very much for your support. I really appreciate it. But only one question I read somewhere that when you do aerobic activies it burns muscle away liek when u r metabilism start it burts the acid that created muscle is this true? I am doing my sitting breathing ones as we speak. should I go for the exercise(like in he book) because I was on those before liek the stretchingg and stuff? I really hope this works for me I am trying so hard to loser weight

Hey Patrick,
Im not sure exactly how to answer your first question... Its true that usually in the first two weeks of excercising you burn through muscle that is surrounded by fat & glucose sugars. And the burning feeling you get after the workout is from acids eating away the tissues that were distroyed during the process of working out. The tissues that are burning are replaced by either toner muscle mass or a larger quantity of muscle mass therefore increasing your total body weight. ...since muscle weights more than fat. Are you talking about doing the excercised in the Oxycise book? I have that book too, but its so much easier to pop the tape in the VHS and be done with it...but hey whatever works for you. There are others on this board that do positions with out any video's going. They even mix up positions from different tapes. I put the tape in and look out my window, or watch my daughter play...so I keep up with Jills pace, but dont watch her anymore. What is your goal weight/size? Do I believe Oxycise is for real? You know, like you I had used it once in the past too and thought and felt I had lost a few inches with it, I am a bit lazy and never seem to actually use a measuring tape, but I know when I did it back when I was in college I did think for sure I had lost a few inches. Then I tried it again later when I was on a medication and didnt feel it did anything for me at all. Now I have come back to it because I am a Tribal Belly Dancer, and normaly our big performances are in spring and summer when I am pretty much ok with my body. I am a little thick and curvy but I was only over weight when on medications. And in the summer and spring tends I tend to be a bit smaller then i am in winter anyways. But this winter we have this Huge performance, alot of important ppl comming and I was lazy about it. I didnt keep up my normal exercise routines or eatting habits after summer, because I am used to really not performing much in winter. Well about a week ago I go to put my costume on to fix it up a bit for this performance and I realized I have put on a few inches since summer..I mean yah I have gotten a bit downright flubby since summer I tell you So I am paniced and I am like oh great , crash diet time, and I am cleaning some things shoved in a closet and there is all my little old oxycise newsletters I had printed out and little tip sheets, and stuff from bodyflex and lite lift and yoga breaths and rebirthing breaths and I am like ohhhhh yeaaaaaaah..I forgot about all that stuff.. so I have decided I have 11 days till my performance, I am doing it daily and seeing how far I can take it before that performance. I have never actually done oxycise daily for more then a week straight I dont think. I cant honestly say what I believe about it till I do it daily for a long period of time to see what it does, and I think that is gonna be true for anyone who comes here. The only way to know if its for real is to do it daily for alteast a month or two and see what it does. From even my experince from doing it almost daily for a week or two here and there thoughout my life, I can totally say I believe it helps the skin , I feel it helps with energy levels , I feel it helps with endurance on anything else you do, weither that is chasing little ones around or belly dance or yoga or football or baseball or anything, I started playing around with oxycise late last week again for the first time, then i went to teach belly dance that night, I had forgotten what oxycise does for endurance! What a difference, no doubt in mind about that. And when trying to do my yoga daily, oh yeah, I am twice as flexible as I was last week and I do believe oxycise has everything to do with that. Is is a magic overnight weight loss pill, no Do I believe that someone 30 pounds overweight can loose all 30 pounds with oxycise, depends on how you look at that, oxycise is one of those things that leads into other healthy choices..its more of a cycle then just one thing on its own. When I do my daily oxycise I find I am more picky about what I eat, I just spent 15 mins breathing my butt off, I aint about to walk in and throw a little debbie in after that. And with the boost of energy I do that extra vaccuming, that extra load of laundry, that extra half hour of yoga or dance. So yes I believe that if someone does Oxycise daily it can lead that person into a array of habits and help support those habits that will lead into loosing 30lbs or however many lbs. But its hard to tell if Oxycise alone will do it , they say it can and I respect that, but if your looking for proof of that its hard, oxycise makes you feel good and when one feels good it affects every action you do. But its one of them things that happens naturally without you needing to force it, if you do oxycise daily and get that energy burst and feel that nice feeling from it, you will automaticaly start to take better care of yourself and that whole process will start to take the weight off.. Not much in life works alone, people dont work alone, we need other people , everything in life kinda works in cycles and circles and together with other things. Oxycise is a easy cheap way to get the process started in my belief. I mean after you buy the inital videos and learn the breathing, you have that knowledge for life, nothing can take it away from you. and you can create your own workouts with it, if your just not up to watching a video you can lay in bed and oxycise. And there is no doubt deep breathing of any sort, weither its oxycise or yogic or whatever, is good for you, we all know, science knows and tells us it is good for us, really good for us, so this is something even thin people need to do. And if one the sideeffects of filling your body with oxygen and breathing the old gunk out is weight loss, then let it come on off, you dont really have to focus or throw yourself into it, you just need to do it once a day for 15 mins and then move on, if its gonna work it dosnt need you to believe in it or focus on it or over think it Starting Date 8-2-2005 Goal To stay commited to the program daily , every day for 6 months straight.
