Hi,

I just received my videos and have started with the breating techniques. Actually, I started practing the breathing tips prior to the arrival of the videos.

I'm noticed that when I try to inhale through my nose, with my stomach expanded that, when I reach my full capacity of inhaling, that I feel a tightness in the upper, middle part of my chest. When I go further to do the 3 puffs, I can feel a tightness in my throat area.

I want to know if anyone felt this when they first started out or whether I'm doing something incorrectly even though my stomach is expanding.

I would appreciate your responses. I would like to get this corrected asap so that I don't hurt myself.

Thanks for your support

I think this is just the way it should feel! Be sure to read Julie's tips on breathing under the "Announcements" section at the top of the board, if you haven't already. There are tips in the "Ask Julie" section, too. Good luck!

Susanna,

Thank you for your response. I believe you're absolutely right. As I continue the breathing techniques, I'm noticing that the feeling isn't as intense.
