Okay, when I first began officially O'g, I was able to do it about a week or so (if that) and then got sick. Horrible sore throat/earache, moderate cough. I take all my herbs, get some rest, etc and get better. So I'm back to O'g for about a week or so again when BAM. I'm sick again. Horrible cough and moderate sore throat. It's not as bad this time, but it's hard to O when you're hacking up a lung every other rep. I just had surgery on my ankle and am kind of stuck on the couch. It sure would be nice to be able to O to keep from getting even more out of shape until I'm back on both feet.

I'm wondering if this is a pattern...is Oxycise somehow making me sick? Well, I know technically, it can't MAKE me sick, but is it stirring up whatever latent bug I have that has camped out in my body? I mean, the stinkies are bad enough, why all this other crud too?

Has anybody else had anything similar happen? All thoughts and/or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was wondering if you have smoked in the past? I wonder if O! is helping you expectorate? Are you using your vocal cords when you breathe? I was in the beginning & had a sore throat as well.

Just a few things I was thinking. Sorry that I don't have any suggestions.

Well, yes Shelby, I am an ex-smoker. I quit like over 20 years ago. I know that crud stays in your system for a very long time. That would be cool thinking that's what is happening. The throat is sore too though. It's not a muscle sore throat, it's the actual inner throat (hmm...does that make sense?) I don't know if I use my vocal chords or not. I'm not making any sound. Well, I'm making sound, but not noise. No, that doesn't make any sense either. Okay...let's try this...I don't THINK I'm using my vocal chords. I can hear my exhale though. Aren't you supposed to?

Alright, I think I better quit with this post for now. The vicodin may be taking over!

OK I was "humming" when I first started so that is why I ask.

I know the smoking has long term effects & I personally think you may be expectorating. I saw my mom suffer from smoking & emphesema so I know it takes a long time to clean out one's lungs.

Man, how disgusting is that?! Still having the crud in my lungs after TWENTY years! Maybe if I had known that when I started, I wouldn't have thought I was so cool!

What an interesting conversation! I think it's GREAT if that is what is happening--to get rid of junk that maybe wouldn't have completely left otherwise. Big GrinLet us know if it stops--then maybe your lungs would be clean!

I would make noise with my voice when I breathe out.

WOW! That is disgusting to think of keeping that stuff for 20 years! Think of how much better you'll feel when you get it all cleaned out! I'm sure that Oxycise doesn't hate you...it's just doing wonderful things for you.
Hope you're soon feeling much better!

Don't be paranoid...I quit smoking about 9 years ago and when I started Oing I would have a sore throat and cough up yuck.
The irratation in my throat was due to breathing deeply threw my nose which would cause my sinus to finally drain and create a post nasal drip which lasted about 2 weeks and the coughing up of the yuck...my doctor said not to worry because even though your lungs start cleaning themselves 'out' the deep breathing helps raise up the 'yuck' that is just sitting there. Keep O-ing and COUGH
