Hi. I just tried the Level 1 tape for the first time. It moves along way too fast for me. Did anybody else experience this? Eek

I kind of thought that at first too...you might try just doing the best you can...you'll soon catch up. The more you practice the basic breath the faster you're able to do it. I think they offer Easy Does It tapes that move more slowly. But I say hang in there and you'll soon be able to do it at the right pace.

Laura, you're right. I did it again this morning and my pace was a bit goofy and incomplete, but it seems that it would get easier with each session. As I am exhaling, she is already going into inhaling, that kind of thing. The inhales and exhales have to be quick! Red Face

Hi Juliette!
The tape was too fast for me at first, too. I just took the first couple of positions and did them over and over (at my own pace) until I had done 30 positions. Each day I would add a few more positions. Pretty soon I was comfortable enough with it all to be able to use the tape and keep up.
Just keep working at it....it'll get easier!

Hi Juliette! Welcome!

Don't be worried about keeping up with the tape at first. When I started, I couldn't keep up either. As time went on, I learned the breathing technique and got used to which position came next on the tape so I could move right along with her. Just go at your own pace and you will be zipping along in no time! It really helps if you can post often on the board too. Glad to have you with us!

I have been doing L1 all over again for variety & I was very surprised at how complete it is.This past week I did L1 most of the time & still lost a pound.
Take your time to really learn the breathing & positions & you will see results.

It has been easier, and the workout is already going along smoother. Breathing throughout the day, here and there is helpful. Did anybody else get a slightly scratchy feeling in their throat? I imagine it must be from never deep breathing so intensely before. It isn't painful or bothersome, just kinda there. Juliette Smile

Absolutely. I sing & I found that I really need to not use my vocal cords when I breathe. It's easy to make a "noise" on the exhale-at least for me it is. So the sore throat is normal-I has one too in the beginning.
