Hi,
I've been an occasional oxycizer for years and every time I decide to get serious, after a few days of the workout, I get really bad sinus pressure and almost feel like I have a cold. Has anyone else experienced this? and if so, does it go away if I just stick it out? I would really love to be able to oxycise regularly. |

It's funny you should mention this, because I've been experiencing the same thing, off and on, over the past few days. Sometimes I'll feel almost a slight burning (like when you get water up your nose in the swimming pool), during the 3 sniffs, or at other times, I'll get a little congested, but neither sensation has been persistent enough to make me quite and go on to something else. For me, it depends on the temperature level in the room, allergies, change of season, time of month,. etc.; but most days, I'm able to Oxycise without any discomfort.
Try doing the 3 sniffs a bit slower, and not so harsh; that may help. Also, make sure you're smiling and relaxed on the inhales; that will help, too; and that the room you're in isn't too hot or cold. See what works for you, and stick with it. Good luck, Helene |

Hi Serendipity,
I've also experienced the same. In the fall and winter, I do Oxy near the humidifier as the air is so much drier. I think it is Lin who will actually do it in the shower. When I have a lot of trouble during allergy season, I will even not do the three little sniffs in, I still do the exhale. I know it isn't quite as effective, but I have still get good results. Welcome to the board. We would love to have you posting on the D2L area. You will get lots of encouragement and answers to any questions. Sharon |
