I sent this note to the info e-mail and haven't heard anything back...someone please help!

I had purchased Body flex years ago and did it. After I had my son in 2001
I thought I would try it again.

Here's my problem/question - my pelvic bone hurts when I do the deep crunch
type you need to do for the abdomen area. I tried doing some of the
exercises yesterday and the pelvic pain was back. I've had these pains
since my son's birth off and on.

Do I need to do it so forcefully to experience good results or any results?
Any ideas?

TIA Tori

Hi Tori. I wish I could help you, but I don't know anything about Body Flex. From what you said, I assume that is the program you are trying again. Oxycise is a fairly "gentle" breathing program and I've never had any problems with it...other than maybe needing to work my way up, physically, to some of the positions.

Maybe someone who has done BF in addition to Oxycise! will see your question and be able to help. Also... you might want to mention these pains to your ob/gyn next time you are in for a checkup.

Thanks for your reply Kelly! I seen some "examples" of how to do the Oxycise website and was wanting to try it not the Body Flex any more and was hoping it wouldn't hurt.

I have mentioned it to an GYN. He was awful - "it is because you're fat." Gee Thanks! I don't have a big stomach. All mine follows me sortof speak! ha! I couldn't believe he said that. If I had a great overhang maybe. My OB/GYN I had with my son left the state. I miss him!

Smile Thanks again for your reply!

How rude and unprofessional! I think I'd be looking for a new doctor.

I think if you give Oxycise! a try, you won't be disappointed. Good luck and hope to see you around here!

I'm an ex-Body Flex person. (My reason for quitting that was I felt a lot of tension on my throat and felt like it was making my voice horse). When doing the stomach exercise...which one do you have problems with? It is the scissors? Or the one where you pull your neck off of the ground? The problem could be that you are not supporting your lower back with your hands. Let know, I will help you trouble shoot if you like.

Just trying the breathing exercises were bothering my pelvic bone.

I didn't try supporting my back with my hands. I will give that a shot and hopefully that will ward off the pain.

Thanks so much for your reply!

Hello,

If your pelvic bone is hurting during the breathing itself, I would say that perhaps that you are tightening muscles like you would do with O. BF is different, it uses "suction" instead of tighting the stomach muscles. If you are doing both BF and O, I would just do one or the other because they are both so different.

I hope that helps.

Hi Tori,

It looks like we replied to your email early last week, so I am not sure why you did not receive it. I apologize if there was some kind of email problem on our end!

To answer your question, we have never had anyone report of pain in the pelvic area from doing Oxycise! In addition, our breathing methods do not actually require a pelvic crunch. It sounds like the pelvic crunch you are talking about may be a part of the Bodyflex program.

If you have any questions about the Oxycise! program or breathing technique, please let me know.

Keep on breathin'

I guess I was trying to do the "crunch" like with BodyFlex. I thought the pelvic tilt meant to flex your abdomen....thanks for clearing that up.

I will definitely try again. If you could explain how to do the breathing - it would be appreciated. Smile

Thanks for your reply!

I have e-mailed the info e-mail twice with no return e-mails.

Thanks so much for your help! I'll check out the site better.
