Hi,
I was posting this question, please reply! How many times a day do you O? How many extras do you do? How much have you lost With O?? Did you diet w/ doing O? Any appitite Control ideas (natural ones)? Thanks! I do it once a day. No real diet, eat normal. I havent lost or gained. I drink grapefruit juice as appitite control. I found that tip on another board. Thanks! |

The first year I Oxycised I lost 44 pounds and quite a few inches. I've always Oxycised once a day, 6 days a week. Shortly after I began Oxycising, I decided to become a vegetarian. I still eat eggs and dairy products.
The past year and a half, I've let my eating get out of control again (mainly portion sizes, plus some things that aren't healthy). So....I've gained back some inches and pounds. For awhile I added walk videos to my routine and also some weight training. I ended up hurting my elbow, so I laid off the weights. I need to really inspire myself to get active again and try harder to control my portions. I haven't been using my Oxycise tapes (or positions), just doing the breaths (120 or more) each morning. I can tell that my toning isn't as good as it was...so I need to start doing some of the positions again. Sorry to be so lengthy....but I was just trying to answer some of your questions! Kelly |

I am glad it was lengthly, you answered most of my questions. I wanted to ask one question but bombarded you guys w/ a million lol. I really love your replys. You always answer me so quickly thanks very much! I think even doing the 120 breathes is good right? You are wonderful and sounds like you will be on track soon! Good luck, eatting is always my downfall also. I find it amazing, i have eatting the same as always, which is a lot. i havent gained doing this program! Thanks again for your answer! |

Hi, Kelly, too. Just thought I'd answer your questions. I've been fairly consistent with oxycise for about 3 months. I started slow, with the book only. After I got pretty good at it, I increased the reps, so now I do 240 reps most days. Sometimes even 360. But I try to do at least the 120 reps(30 positions). 5-6 days a week. Now I have also added weights, which I love using (wrap around on wrists and ankles). I use them about every other time. I don't diet, but if I overdo the food, I don't lose. So I try to watch it. I have lost about 5 or 6 lbs. I think even more if you just measure the fat, because I have really toned up. Would like to lose about 12 more lbs, so I didn't have a huge amount to lose. As for appetite control, I just try to eat well so I'm not craving junk. I want to try the grapefruit juice idea. I imagine that the tart flavor would keep taste buds in check. I drink a lot of water and sugar free "aide" drinks, and that helps keep my mouth busy. I think that this board has been the most important thing for me, has kept me focused. Thanks for asking!

Let's see. I do level 1 7 days a week, so that's 120 reps. I also use 2 1/2 pound wrap-around weights on my wrists and ankles every time, unless I've been too sick. I started L1 on May 13 and lost 28 1/2 inches. I do a 2-mile walking/strength-training tape in addition to L1 3-5 days a week, and sneak in 4 reps during the cool down. I started that tape on Feb 24. I've only weighed myself twice since Feb 24. The last time I weighed myself was June 28, and I had lost 40 pounds. I should weigh myself again, but too scared to. I do not diet, but eat 3 portion-controlled meals and 2 snacks per day and drink 132 ounces of water a day. Doing it this way keeps my appetite in check.
I'm a little nervous because I have a birthday party to go to tomorrow. But I will not deprive myself...I will have ONE piece of cake (not 10-LOL). I'm still concerned about Halloween, but the suggestions people have been making on my poll question have been great...I especially love the sugarless gum idea. How ingenious of you, Kelly! Thanks Jen, that was helpful. I have to lose about 20 lbs. Not tons but enough. I weight 144 and want to weight 114. I am 5'3". So it may take a while. I am going to try out the weights idea soon. Thanks for your wonderful post! |

I do one Level 1 per day, 5 or 6 days a week. I also use the Reader's Digest Change One plan for a guideline on calories and portion sizes. It's not a diet, but just a guide. I eat the things I love to eat, in moderation. I don't go hungry or feel deprived. I've posted my progress report on another post, so won't repeat that here. The only appetite control I've done is to drink lots of water and eat a piece of fruit before some meals, if I feel a need to munch especially while cooking.
The last 2 weeks I've started taking walks with my children. That just wasn't possible before because I was in too much pain with a sore hip and sore knees....in short because I was packing too many pounds!!! I feel like I've been let out of a cage! |

Thought I would try to answer some of your questions also. We are all so different & we all kind of do what we think will help us on this road to being slimmer & healthier. I just do "O". I do it 5-6 days a week. I do either 1 or 2 tapes a day. Depends on what is going on that day. I have been doing "O" 7 months. I started seeing an inch loss right a way. I didn't see much weight loss for 4 months & that was only after I really took a look at what I was eating. I was trying to watch it before, but I had to cut back even more. I have lost 10 lbs so far. Would be happy if I could loss 15 more. Some of the girls have been talking about low carb eating so I thought I would give it a try. I just started today. I'm going to try to do it for the next 2 weeks. My DH & I are going on vacation the last of Oct. (2nd honeymoon) Hope this helps. I have found having this board is a BIG help. Ellen |
