I have owned oxycise for several years, but with my fatigue I have had terrible motivation problems and have not always been consistant. By accident, I discovered a song ("Holly, Holy" by Neil Diamond - I know, I'm dating myself!) that was a good rhythm for doing the oxycise. I downloaded the music and simply recorded it several times in a row on my CD. It has worked like a charm. I am very consistant now and actually look forward to it. The question I'm asking is if anyone else has used music to inspire them through their oxycise and what other tunes have worked for them? I am feeling so good I just want to keep on with this method forever and don't want to risk eventually becoming bored with the same tune!

Ask a question and the world answers... I should have started with my family on this one! My daughter has come up with another one just slightly faster paced than "Holly Holy", a modern day tune called "Testify to Love" by Avalon as well as yet a slightly faster paced older pop tune " Let Your Love Flow" by the Bellamy Brothers. Any other suggestions to jazz up your oxycise session?

Hi Harmony... welcome to the Message Board! I have often done my Oxycise! to music since I use my own routine made up of favorite positions from the various tapes. I don't use any specific songs, though....just pull up my iTunes and go with whatever I'm in the mood for. Dependng on the length of the songs, I can usually get through 4 or 5 songs in a workout.

Come post with us in the D2L (determined to lose) thread each day!

Thanks for your reply! Actually, I guess I wasn't clear, but the tunes I'm choosing let me breathe to the rhythm of the music. Music itself was not quite enough, but having to keep with the rhythm of the music just "drives" me along. Because of having so much leftover energy after my routine, I'm also spending extra time creating a dance routine, coupled with the breathing, to the same music. Maybe I should I call it Oxy-dance :-)

Ha! Harmony you sound fun!
I know all the songs you mentioned. I love the one by Avalon, "Testify to Love". I don't have any songs off the top of my head I can tell you about, but I'm going to try your idea. Sounds fun! I get bored also, so this will help a great deal. Thanks for the idea!

Until next time...
Susie
