Hi Everyone:
I was going through the Oxycise paperback that comes with the L1 starter kit, and read something about the 'Oxycise Power Breath' that's supposed to be incorporated with the higher level workouts??---Unless I'm missing something, I don't remember learning about a power breath for Levels 3 and 4 (though I do remember hearing about on this site a long time ago); Perhaps it was something Jill used to teach but not anymore?... I'm thinking it's something like the Body Flex Advanced/skipped breath method? Any information would be great, as I'd love to start incorporating it, thanks! Love, Helene |

Hi Helene,
Below are Jill's comments regarding the advanced breathing technique she disccuses in the Oxycise! Book: "Originally I was going to introduce the concept of creating a "vacuum" on the exhale on Level 3. However, it is a difficult concept to grasp, and participants were already achieving such great results with the regular breath that I didn't change the technique other than to encourage to breathe with more gusto. As it turns out, I cover the breathing in more detail and review on the "Abs and Upper Body" video. The Oxycise! Basic Breath is truly all you need for success -- Just be sure to do every breath with lots of power and gusto." - Jill Johnson Hope this helps explain things! Let me know if you have any other questions. Kirstine Oxycise! Staff |
