I've been doing Oxycise for a few weeks now, and just found out I'm pregnant. I'd love to continue with the program so I don't gain as much weight as I did with my first pregnancy.

I will check with my doctor and not do anything that is uncomfortable, but otherwise do you think I can just do the regular Level 1 & 2 workouts? Are there any modifications you recommend?

Thank you!

Laurie

Welcome to the Message Board, Laurie! (and to Oxycise!)

Several of the tapes have someone in them who is pregnant, so I don't see why it would be a problem. Seems like they even show a modification for a couple of the positions for those who are farther along. Check with your doctor, of course, but I would think as long as it was comfortable you could continue.

Feel free to post with us in the D2L (determined to lose) thread each day for support and accountability. It's been pretty slow in there lately, but we've usually got a nice group posting.

Hi Laurie, I just joined the message boars for similar reasons. I am 31 weeks along and slowing down. Having some issues with my hips/ pelvis. The activities I was doing regularly in the early mid pregnancy are out of the question to do daily maybe once a week will be okay.

I think Oxycise is a great fit for moms.

I am curious if pregnant moms say a difference in there labors ( do to better breathing habits)

I have aprox 4-6 weeks before I will likely deliver. Just enough time to get into good habit.
My last pregnancy/ newborn stage I was so busy with children that I ended up with some health problems that I want to avoid this new experience.

Even when sitting a lot nursing living in a cramped home and homeschooling ( a full time job on top of home-making;^) I see some hope to beat the adrenal fatigue and digestive issues.

I'd love to hear from anyone that has seen a great help in their labor and in managing breast-feeding strain on their backs etc...

Looking forward to the encouragement.

Oxycise! is a great exercise program during pregnancy but we do recommend that you always check with your doctor before starting any exercise program. Some of the positions have to be modified, for example, instead of lying on your back, you would want to lie on your side. In the Level Three workout, Laurie is about 7 months along and she demonstrates some modifications.

Check out the following link to our website where Jill talks more about Oxycise! during pregnancy, and there are many success stories from other women who have used the Oxycise! program during pregnancy.

Congratulations and keep on breathin'!

Thanks everyone. I had some bleeding a couple weeks ago, so have been taking it easy. I'm ok now but am waiting until 12 weeks to start exercising again.
