I stumbled across this site while searching for a simple workout video (I am not coordinated enough nor in good enough shape for many aerobic videos). This sounds like just what need! Its great to read posts from real people! I am in my early 30's and have weight problems for most my life, but worse in the past couple years. I had pretty much given up. I am willing to give anything a try, but want to start simple so I don't get overwhelmed and give up. Any suggestions as to where to start first? Thanks!
Hi Stacy! I'm glad you found us. I would start by ordering one of the introductory packages. You can either go with the regular tapes or the Easy Does It series. The latter is for those who might be older or have more mobility problems. I think they are at a slower pace and don't involve floor positions.
Feel free to post here often. It's a very supportive group!
I hope you'll decide to order and become a "loser" along with the rest of us!
Hi Stacy! I hope you decide to try Oxycise! I had given up also, but now I'm happily slim again! It only took one year! I only use Jill's book and the commuter tape, but others sure like her videos. Hope to see you here often! Susanna

welcome to Oxycise! it really rocks and man oh man does it work! It is nice to meet you so just keep coming in and working your tapes because it Does work. ~Nancy
Hey, I have a question about the book. Is there pictures of the different exercises in there. I dont have a weight problem but just alittle toning issue and love handles. Do, you think this will work for me. Im 19 years old. Thanks Amanda
Yes, the positions are all pictured in the book, and yes, I think Oxycise would help you tone and trim those love handles. The book and commuter tape are all I've used.
Feel free to join us for encouragement and support if you decide to try Oxycise!

Hi, Amanda! I am not a "Member" here (though I'll figure out how to BE one shortly, I hope) but my 15-year-old daughter has been Oxycizing with me since I started one month ago with the "Easy Does It" Level 1 video. She LOVES how it's toning and trimming her young and "not so bad" body! She did not have a weight problem -- she is great for her height and age -- but her "tummy" is trimmer and her legs and arms are more toned and OUR CELLULITE is DISAPPEARING!!! :-D
I personally am watching my "love handles" like a hawk to see if there will soon be a significant decrease in THOSE babies! LOL However, I MUST say that Oxycize has made a great difference in the physical effects of my scoliosis, which I have endured for over 30 years!
Welcome to the board! To become a member, you need to click on "login/join" at the top of the page and fill in some information. The only info that will show to anyone else is the name you give and your email address, if you want to put it on there.
It sounds like you're already having great results with Oxycise! Congratulations to you and your daughter for progress already made!!!
Feel free to join us on the D2L thread for lots of support and encouragement.

As you can see, I've not posted much but I come here regularly for encouragement (I hate the word 'lurk')and I personally know, from your results, Laura, you will be a great addition and inspiration to others here. Congratulations on your success!
My husband and I did Oxycise for 6 weeks, and it was wonderful. He has mild emphysema and I asthma, and our breathing improved greatly. Unfortunately, my cardiologist frowned and said I shouldn't be doing anything until they figure out what's wrong with me and I have an angiogram (which, due to snafus, is still in the scheduling stage with insurance.) I've decided to begin Oxycising again anyway, using just the postures and not too much breathing because the breathing did cause various and sundry anginal pains. (I put EVERYTHING into it! )But in the ensuing weeks of not doing it, everything is getting uncomfortably tight again and I HATE it.
Plus my husband will be undergoing radiation soon and we feel Oxycising will help him maintain, and perhaps, bolster his health.
So, even though we have Level 1 and not the Easy videos, we will take it slow and easy and just keep plugging away. Sometimes it is a matter of balance in how we feel with what we're told.
But I read here regularly and you all keep me optimistic and excited about Oxycise!
Mugwumps....I'm glad you decided to post and hope you will again.
Isn't it nice how you can adapt Oxycise to fit your own personal needs? That's one reason I love doing it without the videos. I can choose which positions feel best that day and do it at a slower pace, if necessary.
I wish both you and your husband well on your upcoming medical treatments/procedures.
